We bought 2 of these for Christmas, we didn’t think twice about frequency/ remote control, each remote activates BOTH cars, so neither kid can drive effectively. Pretty funny if your okay with the cats just going in random directions or only get one car. Also the way it works is one button spins the car in a backwards way and the other drives the car forward, so you steer by circling backwards until you are facing the way you want to go. Can be tricky to get the hang of if you want to steer while driving forward.
I purchased this and the Mickey equivalent for my kids after they got a chance to play with one at a friends house. Turns out they both came in with the same, unchangeable RF frequency. That means the kids cannot play with them together without interfering with one other. No notice of this on the purchase page and no option to select the frequency ahead of time.
So i bought 2 pack of little RC cars from walmart for 10$ for my nephews 4th birthday. One was a police car and the other a firetruck. I put batteries in them so the kids could play with them (and we could watch and have a little joy). Well my 3 yo neice who is the GIRLIEST GIRL EVER!! was fascinated by them! She liked them mire than the boys and being as we missed her birthday bc of pandemic i immediately started scrolling for girly rc cars and found this one! Granted it was twice as much but the joy it will bring her is worth it!! She LOVES MINNIE MOUSE!! I put batteries in it and i am sad to say that the cheap ones from walmart are much better in every way! The buttons stick on this one its nearly impossible for me to control on hardwood floors and wont even back up on carpet!! Now i am still going to give it to her just because of minnie. But if i had it to do over again i would have just gone to walmart and gotten 2 for half the price. You are paying 20 dollars for minnie mouse-not for any type of quality! Just my opinion.
So first set was a gift for our 3 y/o, it was bought it from Target. After we start playing it, we realized the car can't run straight or turn circles as it is instructed by the remote control. It would move right away every time you press the button, however, it just can't run straight when you press "straight" button or do circle when you press "circle" button. It will randomly go as "freestyle" no matter which button you press. So we ordered the 2nd one from Amazon. Same problem, the car can't run straight or turn circles as the two simple buttons instructed to do on the remote control. Sometimes it could go almost a straight line as the button instructed but not good enough! Our little one loves how this car looks! It is a shame we had to return it twice for the same problem!
materials used for the car feels sturdy. toddler enjoyed it for 3 minutes then threw a fit because the car would not turn. I tested it trying to turn the car, thinking its probably because she does not know how to use remote properly. It was not turning smoothly. returned item do not want to the toddler to continue with the tantrums.
There are only 2 settings on the remote which kind of sucks, the remote stops working very easily even though we just put batteries in it. The 2 front tires do not spin & don't even touch the floor, so not very much power to go. Save some more money & buy a better one.
Presented my three year old daughter. She’s much happy. The controls seem harder, they must have incorporated some joystick kind of control. It has only two buttons, one to go straight and one to rotate in only one direction. Sucks to control it. Bad design.
Not pleased with this product. The batteries drain very fast and after a half a day of playing we are having issues. It has new batteries inside but the car just wont go, as if the batteries were dying. It makes some noise but wont go. We have plat tile floors, there should be no issue.
Easy to operate for a little one however it only works intermittently even though I’ve replaced batteries multiple times. Also she can’t use it near brothers car because the remote frequencies over power. It’s pretty sturdy though and can handle throws and crashes without breaking.
