Enjoying going through all the teas in this sampler. I’ve been rating each tea out of 5 and marking them on the packets so I know which ones are my favourites when I need to purchase the larger bags. Favourites so far are - Assam Exotic Second Flush, Darjeeling Daily Summer and Blue Mountain Nilgiri White Tea.
Update: Have just tried the Sweet Himalayan Detox Green Tea and it’s the nicest green tea I have ever tasted! It has a nice sweetness to it with no bitter aftertaste at all. Going to order a full size bag of this right now!
This was a gift but I have been fortunate enough to try some for myself. All teas are well sealed to keep the freshness and it feels like a proper treat when you select and brew one of your teas. My step dad is so impressed that he gives me a flavour break down each time he tries a new one. We are thrilled and would highly recommend this. Honest review for no personal gain.
I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every sample of tea I have tasted so far they are delicate and smell and taste fragrant and delicious. I like strong tea so the black teas are currently my favorite. I normally take my tea with a drop of milk, when I say a drop I mean a drop, but the white tea tastes so much better and fragrant without and that is how I now like to drink it. I would suggest trying all the teas without milk and sugar it will make you appreciate the different and delicate flavours. So to all the people out there who would like to tantilise their tastebuds and enjoy a good cuppa then try these teas you wont be disapointed. Vahdam Teas cut out the middle man so the tea they produce is fresher. They are a bit expensive but then you pay for what you get which is a fresh, delicate, fragrant tasting tea guaranteed to put you in a good mood - well they do for me.
I can’t fault the service or quality of the tea. So far the four teas I have tried have been excellent examples of their type. The Assam is strong, rich and malty. The Darjeeling is Delicate and bright. The Nilgiri White tea is Fresh and cleansing. The Masala Chai is aromatic and warming. These samples give a great introduction to the wonder that is tea. There are are only two variety’s of tea, Camellia Sinensis Sinensis and Camellia Sinensis Assamica. The variety of flavours that can be offered from these two shrubs is what amazes me and makes me want to explore the delights offered by Vahdam Teas. Many thanks Sala.
I really enjoyed sampling each of the teas in the pack. Each has its own distinct flavour and appearance and it was lovely to try new varieties that I would not have otherwise thought to try, as well as clearly see the difference between the teas. It was a lovely change to mass produced tea to experience the obvious freshness of the tea and I am now fully converted to loose leaf tea without milk, and indeed vahdam tea. I will definitely buy again! I also take much satisfaction in supporting a truly ethical product. I did not think I liked black tea previously however I was pleasantly surprised to find I do if it's a good tea, the break fast was familiar but better and the second flush black tea was particularly good! The white tea was really interesting and the chai ones were best made as chai lattes - I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with them.
I bought these teas for my South Indian mother. To say she is "fussy" is an under statement and I was delighted to hear from her today that she loves these teas! She has tried the cardamom and turmeric so far and is really enjoying them. Thank you for pleasing a hard to please discerning consumer such as her! I also received a lovely customer service email from the company to check on my satisfaction. I like this personal care. Thanks again!
I have slowly being making my way through these 10 different flavours and have narrowed down three favourites. The rest are either just 'okay' or plain bad to my taste buds.
It is a little tricky to review such things as they are all completely down to personal taste.
Nevertheless, I feel confident in stating that this is one of the few sample packs by VAHDAM that you should definitely consider if you're at all wanting to narrow down preference and experience a wide selection of tastes.
Packaging feels rather high quality, I was actually quite surprised. The plastics feel... sturdy and the airtight seal on each individual pouch (and main bag) feel like they could snap into place long after you've emptied the packet.
Very cool idea, has spiced my mornings up and is the perfect way to get into loose tea. I had no idea what I wanted to buy so this really was the perfect product for me. I ended up buying the Himalayan Breakfast black tea because its such a good standard but flavoursome tea. The chai is great with some milk, and whilst I don't like green tea the white tea was a nice surprise. Love the choice and being able to switch it up, but I'll definitely be buying them separately from Vahdam now I know what I like.
