I've had this since august and have traveled quite frequently with it. It has thus far fit in most American, Southwest and Delta overhead bins. However, I still do have to valet tag it for the American Airlines smaller jets. Unfortunately the bottom wheel just recently came off (not quite 5 months later), snapping a large chunk of the bottom of the suitcase off with it. So clearly, it "cracks under pressure" with consistently being thrown under the plane.
The rubber wheel tread on one side of the one of the four casters de-laminated after just 6 weeks of moderate use. The remaining 7 rubber treads are wearing away fast. There are NO replacement wheels on the open market for this product. None of the "universal" replacement wheel assemblies on the market have the exact molding, or screw configurations. The only alternative is to send it back to the manufacturer and the cost of that is almost the same as buying another new case. I would not buy this product again.
Spending a lot of time at a hospital, my purse got heavier and heavier, so my husband and I decided this would be perfect, and it is. I have room for my computer, iPad, all the cords and more on one side. The larger area is great for coats or other large items. There are lots of smaller pockets inside each side that are really handy. This was a wonderful purchase. The way it rolls is so convenient and the handle is adjustable which is nice for when the other spouse rolls it.
I bought this to used for emergency medical equipment for a student. It is hard sided and can be wiped down with antibacterial wipes.. It is the perfect size and will move easily thorough school hall ways. A portable oxygen concentration will fit in as well, a lumbar pillow, stethoscope, oximeter, inhaler. The front pocket can safely hold doctors orders and rescue instructions. BUT, they must have put the protective costing sheet on before assembly because there is no way to remove the protective coating completely. You can peel off the large areas but it tears along the zipper line, the handle attachment, and logo. It will forever look messy and almost scratched up because the this clear sheeting is fine and looks like scratches. Manufacture should just apply something to surfaces after assembly just for shipping protection.
I bought this product because I have a lot of heavy demonstration material to show to customers when on the road. The good part first: It is very light and roomy. The wheels are great and the handle is decent. The bad: It scratches very easy. Already by the first trip, I have a lot of scratches on it. I bought the silver one, hoping not to have this problem, but unfortunately, this is the case. The interior could be sturdier as the linnings are flimsyly thin, not giving much support to the stuff you have inside. Last but not least and the only reason for givin 3 stars instead of 4 is that it does not fit in the overhead of many airplanes, so that you have to put it under the front seat, eliminating the opportunity to strech your legs during flights. I kept the case and use it when I travel on business by car, but decided to buy another one for flights
Just arrived so haven't used, but it's gorgeous. I wanted for my overnight biz trips and it'll hold one not-bulky change of clothes, pajamas. I'm a very light packer so it'll work for me with my tote bag as back up. I like the side case for my laptop so I don't have to put in my tote - easier on my back.
I wanted a smaller suitcase as sometimes I go right from airport to a client meeting and I wanted the smallest possible suitcase so I don't look like a gypsy. I'm sort of repurposing what I bet most people use as a workcase as an overnight bag, but it's perfect for my purposes.
The look is great and I think the quality is fine for me as I always carry-on and I baby my luggage. The price is incredible for this piece.
I just took delivery of the Small Rockland Luggage, and I was impressed at the packaging. The Rockland Luggage came with a clear film all over it. This film protected the finish of the luggage. So when I removed the outer wrapping and then the film, a beautiful new, shiny Luggage was observed. I have never taken delivery of a luggage so nicely packaged this way before, and I was impressed. Now, I was also impressed with the front zippered pocket for a laptop or on my case, an iPad Mini, Toiletries, shoes, books/magazines and snacks. And there was more room, if I needed it. Then I got to pack the larger area of the luggage, and I just got 7 days of jeans and shirts, PJs, under garments, etc., in that section. So, In all, I got a weeks clothing in this little luggage, that I can carry-on the plane. Now, I have been rolling this little luggage all over my house tile and hard wood floors, and its four sets of spinner double wheels do very well. So far, so good. I can’t wait to take it on a trip!
This was a good purchase and perfect for what I was looking for. The plastic shell is a bit flimsy, but overall the wheels are decent, and theres enough room for a few changes of clothes and maybe a pair of shoes. I like that I can pack my laptop, some work papers and folders and enough clothes for an overnight or quick weekend all in one bag. Wheels roll well and handle is a good length. My only complaint is that I wish the handle would click lock at lower position, instead of just one, at the full extension. I am short so this would make it a bit more comfortable, but it is fine as it is.
