It says it is universal but there is no way of fitting the LG SN11RG satellite speakers onto the mount. I tried everything and nothing worked. Very dissapointed because otherwise these were decent stands. Will be returning them.
Love the design but one of my stand was almost not weld at all, my speaker almost fell on the floor. Can’t be use like that, i will return those and order a replacement. Hoping that the new one will be ok.
I purchased these because they said they fit Polk audio speakers. I have the T15's as my surround speakers Anyone not familiar with these speakers they are about 7 inches wide/deep and 10 inches tall. Not very large speakers, on the more middle of the road size for surround speakers. They are appx 8lbs.
The advertisement for this stand indicates they will accommodate a speaker up to 9.4inches x 18inches... well larger than what I have as well as hold 11lbs, again, more than I'm asking them to do.
Assembly: Super easy. Tube B mounts into base A, tube C mounts to tube B. Easy. Even comes with the allen key in the correct (ish) size. Perfect. The speaker mounts themselves is a metal bracket that slides on the "foot" of the speaker mount if you will. It allows for some customization. Perfect. Just what I need. I adjust the metal loop bracket all the way up, again, super easy as the included allen key is the right size for all the allen heads. Super! Some of the allen head's were a bit tight, almost like the paint finish narrowed the key too much, but honestly that's a small issue (that was fixed by just pushing the key in a little as I turned the wrench. It worked, easy enough that I didn't waste time going to the garage for my allen key set to find a better size.
But the bracket is about 2 inches too short to get to the keyhole mount... at least for Polk Audio speakers, which these mounts claim to fit. The value for money evaporates with the product doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do. I have used the hardware in bag to basically mickey mouse one speaker stand. I'll need to hit up the local ACE hardware for some black bolts/wing nuts to make these truly work for the speakers I have.
The sturdiness of these I was somewhat curious about as I assembled the bases, but honestly, they work. At least for the one I have set up so far.
Overall impression: I'm a little disappointed the units are marketed as fitting Polk Audio speakers. Both the T15 and S15 are roughly the same size/same pattern with different speaker setups. To say it fits Polk speakers is quite honestly an outright lie, as with the "out of the box" hardware, it's not even close. I could send these back, but as there is nothing wrong with them, it'd cost me more to ship them back than to just keep them and modify them to work appropriately for my speakers. In light of that, I would not order these again, I would look for another solution that actually did what it advertised to do. One of the graphics on the sale page indicates "Recommended Max Speaker Size: 9.4"D x 18"H .... well mine are 7"deep and 10.5"high and they don't work. So... not sure how they figure the back metal rod is long enough to get to any keyholes higher than about 7 inches up.
Workmanship is quality. Finish is quality. Setup/assembly was easy and straight forward. I just wish they actually fit Polk speakers. I have a hard time marking down for quality, as I can tell (if they fit my speakers) they're gonna hold up for years. VERY solid and great finish....
So anyway, anyone else looking, hope this helps if you have T15's.
Seems like a sturdy set of speaker mounts. But there was a screw missing that was necessary for it to work. Also, the provided screws are all metric and have very thin threads so they did not work on my speakers. Contacted Mounting Dream and they sent some replacement screws... that were the wrong size and did not work as replacement for the missing screw. So I tried to find screws at Lowes and Home Despot but it seems that the screws provided by Mounting Dream are not standard in length. None of what I found at Lowes and HD will work - I would have to saw off the ends to make them work. So these speaker mounts are mostly useless to me. I would have to jury-rig it to make it work.
The height adjustment is like 3-5 inches max but even if you raise it you can still say the non removable platform and it looks awful. Stands feet are not very stable either, no soft padding for hard floors (tiles and wood). The wire hole is great can easily fit rca cable for your rear speakers. I ended up returned the item and wouldn’t recommend These stands unless you have carpet and you know your height is exactly what the page says
I got these for Klipsch R-15 speakers. The base is too narrow to support anything over a few pounds, although they claim to hold up to 11 lbs. These routinely leaned or wanted to tip over, one time scratching the paint in my theater room. The brackets also didn't fit and I had to drill new holes to get them installed properly.
Don't buy if you have carpet or if you speakers over a few pounds.
I wanted to like the speaker stands… But you can’t fish the wire through so that’s why I only gave it 2 stars. If I was able to fish the wires through this and it would’ve gotten 5 stars. I have the new Vizio 5.1 w/satellite speakers... debating on whether to return them as the whole reason you get speaker stands as to hide the wires.
Either the screw holes were not tapped properly or the screws are bad. I suspect a combination of both. Took a lot to get them started. Stands look like they would work well, but they will not fit my Klipsch R41M bookshelf speakers. These might work with a smaller speaker. Back support where they are supposed to mount is too short.
