Ooh boy, I have been waiting quite a while for this one. Okay first, some background. I purchased this a bit over two months ago around Christmas time (it is now March) I had purchased this for a friend for when we play games or just do online voice calls over discord. I’ve heard great things from Fifine especially with their K669B lineup so I decided: why not? It’s cheap and if it didn’t sound good, I could just get something different. I have never been more wrong in my life.
First: The build quality There isn’t much to say to be completely honest with you, the build quality is superb! The metallic finish and the nice simplistic look is something I am DEFINITELY a fan of, I don’t want to get too into details but after a bit of physical abuse, this thing held up like a champ (something a certain snowball microphone can’t say the same) This microphone looks and feels amazing, especially for the price. I was there when it was unboxed and opened for the first time and I honestly thought they sent me the wrong product, I thought they had sent me something more expensive and premium but nope! You get the awesome build quality for such a low price! But of course, the looks are subjective and the looks aren’t all there is into a mic, you have of course, the sound quality
The sound quality Three words: Oh my god. Now, I’m not an extreme audiophile or anything but I have used my fair share of low and high end microphones and I was completely astonished the first time me and my friend hopped into a game, I actually asked if he ended up buying a different, more expensive, microphone. This thing sounds awesome! Especially for the price! Of course it doesn’t sound as good as a $200-400 mic but this sounds like something I would pay top dollar for. I personally have a full XLR setup for my microphone and I really felt like I would’ve been better off buying one of these. My microphone setup is better than this but I mean... this is really close for a fraction of the price. The voice/audio output from this thing is nice and clear, not tinny like you get in a lot of similar budget microphones. I play guitar and asked if I could record myself playing a song and was again impressed on how well it can reproduce sounds.
Finally, the verdict. Do I recommend this? Short answer? Yes, Long answer: Hell yes.
This microphone is the best in class and possibly the best in it's price range. I am thoroughly astonished on how good it is for much it costs, even three months after it was originally received. I could not recommend this enough and I am definitely going to recommend this to all my friends and family who need an amazing mic on a budget. Fifine, you and your audio wizards have amazed me
I have used gaming headsets for years, both major and little known brands (my personal preference for the <$30 Mpow line) but I can't deny the MAJOR jump in Mic quality I get on audio calls, video calls, video recording when using this mic. its fantastic, knocks it out of the park for the price you pay. No setup, no drivers, no 3rd party software, it just worked (Windows 10) Highly recommended!
This microphone was everything at first, I got it about two weeks ago and used it twice. The microphone is now staticky and initially I used the mic outside one day so I thought it was do to wind but even indoors it still goes in and out. I’m not sure what that’s about, it’s almost like it’s a shortage in the mic and I think it’s due to it being tightly compressed in the box. I haven’t used it enough or that often for it to have been done on my end. Never been dropped or anything, fairly new but still goes in and out like it’s been worn out. Not sure what that’s about but the first day it was perfect and I loved the sound and clarity!
Very good sound quality. I use it for Zoom conferences so I don’t have to be so close to my laptop microphone. I can adjust the mic sensitivity on my mac so that it pocks up sound well, without a lot of background noice.
is it the best mic i've ever heard/used? no but it has a clear sound and you don't hear static or fuzziness from the background noises. i used my MacBook pro and a usb-c adapter and it connected pretty well
