I really like this cover. However, I wish it came in both odd and even sizes. My suitcase is a 31" hardshell, so I bought the 30 and 32 inch to see which would fit best. The 30 inch fit more securely around the whole suitcase, but came in just a little too short at the bottom where the Velcro needed to connect to secure it. If it was just 2 inches longer it would have been almost perfect. With the 30 inch, it also did not fully cover my 31" suitcase around the bottom right above the wheels. A little bit is still exposed.
The attached pictures are of the 32 inch. The 32 inch also fit over the the suitcase nicely. However, it left larger gaps on the side. Once I pulled the bottom flaps together, there was so much room, the velcro connection almost missed each other. It was came together only by just a slight connection. Instead of returning it, I opted to buy some additional velcro to secure the bottom.
The plastic is really nice and strong it seems. I wish they did not put their logo and the size number of the cover on the center front of the plastic. If they must put a logo, a bottom corner would have been nicer. I would recommend if you have an odd inch suitcase, to buy a size up if you want to make sure your suitcase is fully covered.
UPDATE: My cover held up very nicely on my international vacation travels. And I had layovers in both directions. I think my luggage was near something hot while it was packed on the plane because the cover was slightly melted in one spot (see attached), but nothing too bad or damaging. I am fully satisfied with my cover!
I purchased this cover for my oversized 30" suitcase. It not only was large enough to easily fit over my suitcase but had excess space for an even larger suitcase or expanded suitcase if needed. My only complaint is that I will have to have additional velcro strips sewn on the bottom to ensure that the cover is securely closed. Because it can accommodate an even larger suitcase, there is too much of an overlap on the bottom and I fear that it will get snagged during airline handling. I haven't used it yet and won't for several months. I will report back after its first trip
This fit perfectly as it has a velcro attachment at the bottom. I have had the zippered kind and the advantage to the zipper is that you don't have to ever take the cover off. With this one you do have to remove the cover in order to open your suitcase. However, it is easy to remove the cover and put it back on. For the price, is very nice.
I purchased hard shell polycarbonate luggage. Because several people said that this luggage scratched easily, I purchased this to protect the luggage. It was very sturdy and did the job. I suggest that you also purchase straps to keep the cover on. I only used one strap top to bottom. This worked well, and would allow using the other strap for a second piece of luggage as a carry on case. I would have given it 5 stars because you have to remove it to open the luggage. There is another produce that has a zipper around the entire cover that allows you to open with the cover on.
At sight, it looks a strong protector. It only leaves few parts uncover at the bottom (29" suitcase). Up to now, it survived one international flight. I received the suitcase with few dents without leaving permanently scratches. Apparently, it received a huge blow at the center leaving a hole in the cover but protected the suitcase. Lets see how it will resist the JFK airport soon. I highly recommend this case, this is my first luggage cover. Don't expect it is bulletproof, airlines employees who handle luggage at the airport, seems they compete who destroys first a suitcase. I am thinking getting also a nylon cover to put it under this PVC Cover
