I was really surprised that there is no actual pattern included. Its really just a list of instructions. You have to measure it out and even get a cup or something to make the round corners. All the measurements are in inches which I had to convert, surely its not that difficult to put both measurements when most of the world dont use inches. The bag did turn out quite nice but feel the "pattern" is lacking and overpriced for what it is which has put me off ever buying another By Annie pattern. You can easily find the information on youtube so save your money.
I love this pattern. The cases are very useful. The instructions do not all for using iron on vinyl but I added it to the inside of the medium size because I was using it for makeup when traveling. This allows for wiping out any spills with out messing up the fabric. I love going to byannie.com and watching her tutorials to gain insight as to how things are put together for her patterns. There may not be one for every pattern but they are helpful to see how the supplies are used to make the pieces fit together.
This is a fairly easy to follow pattern. I would not suggest this project to beginners. It does take a bit of experience and know-how, but if you know your way around a sewing machine and understand the basics, watching a few tutorials on YouTube will get you through. I do wish there were more illustrations, however, as I feel that would have made it a tad easier to understand what the text was trying to explain.
Good pattern and instructions. I made the medium and it was bigger than I thought. I will make the smaller size as well. I did not put the pockets in the main part of the bag. I also used vinyl instead of mesh for the upper pocket.
