Another story set in my favourite vampire hunter's world

I'm not proud of it but sometimes, not always, but sometimes, two characters in a story will come together that just make me shake my head and say no - just no!
Edward and Donna were such a couple for me, mainly because I'm a huge fan of Edward's and really didn't think that Donna was near good enough for him.
So it was that when I sat down to read Serpentine I thought that I would going to end up depressed and kind of bitter but as I read along, I began to see what Edward gets and needs from Donna and just how much he loves his family.
So it was that at the end of the book, I just found myself wanting more.
I have loved every single book in this amazing series, have fallen in love and lust with many characters and desperately hope that there will be more, many more stories to come in this delightfully addictive series.

Disappointed

This is know where near her best work. My friends and famliy know to just let me curl up and read the book. The story line never really started until about have way through the book. And again she as got to wordy, I don't need to know what every one is wearing right down to the last button. And Ms Hamilton as been using 10 words to discripe something when 1 would have done.
I would recomend this book to my friends but also tell them the the first half of the book should speed read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be checking out the authors other books looking for more of the same. A little too much relationship, and a bit too little action to be a 5 star, but still very enjoyable.

Serpentine did not stretch to the plot line

I loved that the characters are evolving. That every time you pick up an Anita Blake book, the people have grown h ave changed some for better others for worse. Its not like they have e nothing better to do then wait around on the author to develop their personality. Its not a static universe.
People talk about authors and how some are great at world building. But no one ever talks about world building and characters progressing together. I love that there was limited sex and more story.
I enjoyed reading about Donna and how very human she became in this book.
The book was title Serpentine I would have liked to see some more plot twist. Towards the end with Chloe it seemed a bit obvious.

But then again it just might be that I recently re read the entire series and so was better able to prempt the author.

I like how the other characters are working on themselves esp M.A.N. Micha Anita and Nathaniel and Nicky.

Feels like an eternity since the last book, couldn't believe my eyes when i saw this was out. Thankfully there was not just porn most of the way through, but Anita working with the other marshalls. im looking forward to when Anita and Jean Claude get married, hope it doesn't take years.
