So here’s a REAL review from a true PLUS SIZE PREGGO! Prepregnancy, I was a 26/28 (Lane Bryant sizing). I was in some 2X but mostly 3X sizing. Even some 4X. I’ve had nothing but problems finding a maternity support belt! (Or maternity clothes for that matter). So I was skeptical when I came across this belt. But with extreme pelvic pain limiting my mobility... I had to try it.
I just got the belt today, took it out of the package, and put it on. I’m pleased to announce it DOES fit! There is even still some stretch room to grow! So far I have noticed some relief in my pelvic pain as well!
I ordered the 3X size. I’m 5’7 380+ lbs (stats for comparison)
If you are an expecting, plus size mama... this belt is worth a try!
I wish I would have purchased this sooner. I was about 36 wks when I bought this. I was trying to just tough it out since I only had 4 wks left. I had major pelvic and hip pain to the point that it hurt to walk or even sit at times. This band did help. It didnt take all the pain away, but it gave me enough support that I was able to go on longer walks again. It was not very comfortable to sit in, and if I sat I would have to re-adjust it. I have a standing desk at work, so I only put this on if I was going to be standing for a long period or going for a walk etc. I am 5’5 and was about 280 when I purchased. The 3x was possibly a little big on me, but this is 3 parts and it is adjustable. Overall I am glad I went with the 3xl.
I am not pregnant but I bought this because I lost 50 pounds and have sagging skin that would cause discomfort. I know this may sound strange for some, but if you have lost large amounts of weight you know what I am talking about. It pulls my lower abdomen up off my thighs so it does not chafe, and my clothes fit and look better. I have noticed that I am not getting back aches like before. I found for my use it works better when I put it on backwards so there is a larger area supported in front. Once I figured out how to put it on and am sure to keep the velcro on the straps off my skin, I found it comfortable. I am happy with the purchase.
I love this belt. I am 33 weeks pregnant with my second child. I am 5’3”, 276lbs, apple shaped, and 40 years old. I do hair and stand on my feet all day everyday. Some how in the last 2 weeks my baby has moved and caused a nerve to be pinched so when I put my hands in the air for any period of time it cuts off circulation somewhere and it makes me feel like I am about to pass out. The joys of pregnancy! Foiling hair (ie doing highlights and lowlights) and blow drying have been horrible and next to impossible. Today is my first day with this belt at work and it has relieved the pressure to almost nothing. I’ve worked 8 hours today and there has been minimal pain. That’s a damn miracle! I would definitely recommend at least trying this belt if pelvic pressure and standing as well as pressure on nerves has been a problem for you. It’s $20 and you can send it back if you don’t like it. Oh! And I haven’t had any issues with it rolling or bunching it has stayed in place all day. Hope this helps someone. Happy Holidays! ❤️❤️❤️
This support belt was exactly as described. I ordered up a size to 3x just to allow room for growth during my last 3 months of pregnancy, but the velcro is a generous length to tighten or loosen as needed. The belt lifts my belly and distributes the weight across my back, which took pressure off of my hips/pelvis. Using this belt increases the amount of time I can walk around before feeling the discomfort/pressure of being 6 months pregnant:) Side note: I tried it on at home in front of the mirror a couple of times to find the right placement, and now I just keep it in my purse & can slip it on as needed in seconds.
When I first bought the belt, it didn’t last a week before one of the sides unraveled at the seam. I spoke to customer service thru email and they shipped me a new one immediately. The second one has lasted the rest of my pregnancy. I have pelvic girdle pain during this pregnancy and the belt has helped support by growing belly and helped alleviate the pain. I’d definitely recommend to anyone having hip and/or back pain.
Was helping me through the end of my pregnancy. I was having really bad back pain. It didn't help that I was overweight. The 3x fit extremely well. I am a 5-6, and ended up weighing God damn near 350 lb in my pregnancy. If you are a bigger girl, make sure you were looking at the measurements and guide for this. I bought 3 x because it was the biggest, and I honestly do not regret it! This helped so much with my back pain!
