This is amazing . I bought it for my 2 pomeranians for camping and it comes in a little travel bag and you open up and it pops out and you dont have to do anything . Way better then i thought . I love it !
We bought this for our new 4-month old, 7 lbs, toy Shipoo puppy. Within a day, he had ripped a hole in the screen and gotten his little head stuck in the hole. So . . . I reached for the duct tape. I've been patching it every time he rips a new hole, and now it's mostly duct tape. I'd like to return it and get my money back, but at this point, there's too much duct tape to fold it up and get it back in the box. This is made like an indoor kiddie play tent, extremely thin. I don't recommend this for any animal unless they are heavily sedated. This definitely is NOT a pet playpen. So . . . it would make a nice big hamper, or a frame for your duct tape sculpture.
Our dog is almost 16, and we did not want her to have to be outside. In the past she's not been very good about letting us know she had to go out and she'd just go wherever. It's worse now that she's even older, and even keeping her in the rooms where there's tile instead of carpet wasn't a good solution this year. With this pen, we can keep her inside where she's warm and comfortable, keep any accidents contained, and still have enough room for her to move around some.
It's not super sturdy, and if she presses on the sides she can roll it around a bit. Some sandbags (the kind designed for photography tripods) and the net cover zipped on have solved the problem of her getting out that way.
We really appreciate the built-in bottom of the pen (we had some before where the bottom was attached with a few pieces of velcro...wouldn't even slow down a leak let alone keep it contained). The water-proof material even comes up the sides a couple inches. We haven't had a single leak, even from a tipped water dish.
Just remember that the longer your dog will be in the pen, the larger the pen should be. You don't want them cooped up in something they can barely turn around in. Our dog weighs 22 pounds and we got the large pen.
I foster kittens and have three of these. The last one I received came used with a small amout of poop smeared on the inside canvas. I ordered and paid for a new product and am furious this is what I was given. I foster kittens that are not yet vaccinated and are very susceptible to contracting diseases many of which can kill them. The danger of selling a used product unknowingly to a buyer is a very real one. Young and unvaccinated animals could potentially contract something and die should the previous animal be ill. I needed this pen immediately so I cleaned it top to bottom with an animal specific disinfectant, but had I not noticed the smeared poop I would have put my poor kittens in it immediately, having no idea the danger they could have potentially been in. I will not be ordering again as I no longer trust this company.
