An Important Book

This is a very interesting book. It's not an easy read. I suspect that it suffers a little in translation. But for anyone interested in the environment, particularly trees and they way they learn, adapt and communicate with each other, it's not to be missed. Trees have been used as sources of food, shelter and tool making since the advent of life. They have been revered and sometimes feared. Above is an Aboriginal birthing tree: a hollow in which a woman could give birth with a modicum of privacy and shelter.
