3.0 out of 5 starsA decent but not particularly memorable conditioner

Caveat: this is not a conditioner I would buy because it is made by L'Oreal, which has not agreed to be a cruelty free company. That is, they test their products on animals and that really is a deal breaker for me.
However, my rating of this conditioner is not based at all on its failure to be cruelty free. It simply isn't a very good conditioner. It isn't dreadful, but in a time when there are so many exceptional hair conditioners - we are living in an age where we are absolutely obsessed with putting things in our hair, and manufacturers willingly make as much for us as possible - it is just so so. It smells OK. Your hair feels OK after using it. But it just isn't anything that I find particularly memorable. I have seen some L'Oreal products that I like a great deal - the cruelty free thing aside. But this isn't one of them. If your choice where this and nothing, I would definitely recommend this, but there is a lot of competition out there for hair products and I simply can't recommend this above several others that I have tried. Just as one example among many, I recently bought some Smooth as Silk by Giovanni (whose Tea Tree shampoo has long been one of my favorites). Or any of Aveeno's conditioners. In comparison to those, I just found this average.
3.0 out of 5 starsOne of us gave it 4 stars, one of us gave it 1 star

4 stars from my daughter, 1 star from me.
Daughter - Has very long, very curly hair. Follows the "curly girl" method of minimal shampooing and NO SILICONE to reduce damage to curly hair cuticle. This conditioner fits her regimen. She likes it does appear to absorb oil from the roots, which allows to go even longer without harsh shampoos. It protects the ends, and washes out cleanly (though it does take a bit more time and effort to rinse out). 4 stars
Myself - Shoulder length, fine wavy, hair - This feels really different from a traditional conditioner with silicone. My hair is not as slippery/silky with this conditioner as with a traditional conditioner. Because my hair is fine, it tangles easily, so I really need that slippery/silky feeling from a traditional conditioner. 1 star
3.0 out of 5 stars... but my tips have been drier than I would like so I thought I would try this
Reviewed in the United States on 18 January 2017
I normally use Pantene shampoo and conditioner but my tips have been drier than I would like so I thought I would try this, honestly, I didn't notice any difference in hair health using this conditioner. It doesn't weigh down hair, and it gets your hair clean, but most conditioners on the market designed for finer hair do that. It's ok, just nothing special.
Granted, my roots get oily very quickly, especially recently for some reason, but this product (used along with the shampoo) does not keep my roots looking fresh for 48 hours the way it promises. At best it was more like 35 hours, at worst less than 24 hours! So the pairing performs about the same way as every other shampoo and conditioner and doesn't let me skip washings. It does make my roots look drier and my (dyed) hair color more vibrant at first. Right after conditioning while my hair is still wet my hair feels somewhat "dry" but it dries into softness.
I'll keep using the shampoo and conditioner until I finish them but they didn't solve the issue I bought them for.
