I travel weekly, both domestically and internationally so this one-year old suitcase gets used often. It is lightweight and easy to move around in airports. The exterior will get scratched quickly but much less than the shiny suitcases Samsonite also sells. Interior room is spacious and well constructed. Recently, one of the wheels broke off. Not sure if this was a manufacturer defect or airline issue. Didn't want to wait 3 weeks for my local repair center to fix so contacted Samsonite Consumer Relations, ordered the wheel and it's back in business. I will stick with Samsonite.
Purchased the 28" spinner in 2017. The third time I use it in international travel in Nov 2018, the front wheel came loose. Took it to the overseas Samsonite repair shop and was told that the repair should be free since it was purchased less than 3 years. The repair time would be 3 - 6 weeks. In the meantime, I had to purchased a new luggage to use. It was ready for pick up after 4 weeks and since I already left for the US, I asked my sister to pick it up for me. However, now the repair shop said that since it was not purchased locally, I had to pay the full repair price of US$200! Kidding me, it was more than the original purchase price!
I’ve always been a fan of Samsonite products, especially love their warranty. I wanted a white suitcase cause once off the plane my white bag is high visibility on the baggage carousel and there are rarely any white bags out there. It cleans up easily with a magic eraser which I pack with me in the bag since it weighs nothing,
I am a frequent traveler and average 2-3 international trips per year so I was willing to put a bit more money into quality luggage. I love everything about this case with the exception of how easily it scratches. I took this to Italy and within the first flight the case looks like it went through it's own Edward Scissorhands adventure behind the scenes. Outside of the scratches the case was perfect. I had plenty of room for my items on both sides. The zipper pouch in the center is very roomy and easily held everything I needed for my trip. We have used this case for weekend trips and it was plenty of room for the both of us. The wheels are great and easily maneuvered through the uneven streets of Italy. The case itself is very lightweight therefore I was able to max out my wardrobe without going over the allotted weight. I plan to buy another case to match before my next vacation.
The color of this luggage is awesome, very unique and elegant. We got this luggage to use on our way home after a recent long trip. At our destination, after pulling it out from the carousel we saw the 1/2 of the front panel of the luggage warped in from the weight of the luggage placed on top of it. Clearly deformed. And to think we have placed 2 souvenir mugs in the luggage!! We were so disapponted by its condition that we literally waited 2 days before opening it, dreading what could have happened to the contents. Thankfully, that the luggage went back to it's original shape on its own maybe after having been left upright, still with all its contents in it. The souvenir mugs were left unscathed!
I purchased many of these so here is the truth on the pro’s and con’s.
Pro’s: lightweight design And material is a flexible plastic which is nice. No tip over very important. Easy roll wheels and rolls in sync well With other wheels.
Con’s: overpriced. Price fluctuates not fair for Others who pay nearly 200 and then price changes to 140. Just one Big middle luggage section no additional spots to put things for quick access. Most Luggage has few front zipper slots to put things for easy access this one lacks that. Also if you need to get something out of the luggage you can’t just unzip the top to grab it real quick it unzips from the size it really can be a struggle and inconvenient if something is needed from the luggage without opening and unzipping the whole thing.
Love this piece. Just got back from overseas and except for one smaller one similar to mine , most other bags are dark so it was easy to spot my bag. It is lightweight and fits a lot! ( i packed enough for a 10 day trip) I had seen this exact one at my local store and it was over $50 more expensive. I ordered this and got it within 2 days. Only complain I have is I accidentally started opening the from the side where the clothes are held in by the strap..The strap holding the clothes could be a little better ( maybe an extra strap or tighter) It didn’t hold the clothes well./but if you open the correct way, it’s fine.
I bought a various sizes of the white for my wife and daughter. Through 5 plane trips and they look great. I was concerned how the white would hold up. It gets little scuffs but they aren't really visible more than any other color. Luggage itself is well made and the expander material is very strong when open.
