To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I had an original splicer cable with plastic covering and over the span of 16 months it failed, this product was an exact replacement and had a stonger covering. It’s working well from the first minute and two weeks in- I use it every day.Well, I had to update my review, this splicer has begun to fail this week, a little over three months, and I was much more careful on handling this one after my other wire wore out. I am waiting on the warranty,I will update once that happens. .
Bought 2 for iPads. Neither worked at all. NADA. No sound when plugging in a mic. I reread the questions and answers and it turns out the seller misspoke and said these work for Apple. They do not. Apple has a different wiring scheme. I missed the return window so I am writing a review so others will not make the same mistake. I don’t have an Android device to test so I won’t give this 1 star but the seller needs to make clear this is not for Apple devices. I bought the Dukabel brand instead and they worked -both for old and new iPads. You might benefit for my research on this subject I also learned IOS devices prefer an 800 ohm microphone impedance.
Plug does not make a good connection. Connection has to be rotated and Jiggled around to actually get the connection to work correctly, and even then it is sound quality is very low, and poor. If i turn the volume up i get a lot of static/fuzz. I have tried it with other ports and same problem persists. Connection has very heavy 3.5mm connection jack with thin/flimsy wire, which means it will be susceptible to bending and breaking.
Got this to plug a gaming headset into my new Dell laptop (for work) for conference calls. I thought my headphones had gone wonky -- lost a lot of sound, and the sound was imbalanced. Plugging my headphones in directly to the laptop worked fine (and was much louder), so there's either a problem with the internal wiring or they maybe didn't craft the connector correctly. SO... I'm ordering something else that I hope will work.
The seller promotes this as a cable that works for iOS devices (iPhone & iPad.) This cable does NOT work as an audio input for iOS devices. Build quality feels good, but does not function as advertised.
I had bought this a while ago so I could use my headset with my Xbox one controller but it started having problems not too long after I bought it. I have to unplug and plug it back in just to make it work and if the core and the 3.5mm Jack aren't in the exact right spot sound will only come out in the left ear. I know it's not my headset cause I use it with my pc too and it works fine there. All in all it wasn't very good quality but at least when I can make it work it sounds just fine.
I bought this so I can use my modular microphone with my headset. But the audio splitter inverted my audio in my headset. So if I played a game I would hear players on my left side when they were on my right side.
