Overall I have enjoyed this series, good page turner, entertaining way to pass the time. However, really annoyed that we are left with yet another cliff hanger, and waiting for yet another book, to find out what happens next, and no idea when this will be published. Used to be a time when a story fitted in one book, now the commercial thing to do is milk it dry and stretch it as far as it will go, fill up the pages with unnecessary characters, plot twists and rehashing of what went on before, to the point of tedium. Wrap it up, finish it, let us move on, surely you have other stories to tell appart from this one?
I am now 96% of the way through this book and it feels like it is never going to end. I have read the whole series and I find it difficult to care what happens to any of the characters to be honest. I thought I'd just check and see what others thought of this as I am really just wishing to finish it, find out what the end is and move on to something much more interesting. I am dismayed to read there is another book to come. I don't think I'll be buying it. I am sure the whole thing could have been done in two books or a trilogy at most
A book should tell a story, a concept for a beginning, a development, and then a conclusion. Unfortunately both series of books written by Sean Platt start off well, but then disintegrate into aimless twaddle and end up going nowhere. I will not be buying anything else from this author
