Waited ages for delivery - then when they did arrived and I tried one in a standard 2 pint UK supermarket milk bottle it was not a tight enough fit so would have fallen out if I had tried to pour the milk - seal needs to be thicker. I think these are manufactured in the USA and not suitable for the UK milk bottles. Had ripped the packaging so these have turned out to be a total waste of money and not fit for purpose..
These spouts work like a dream for plastic gallon milk cartons. Some of the ad photos seem to be of another design than what I received. (Mine do not twist on or have an O-ring seal as in some of the ad photos.) You install these by pushing them into the carton. (Like a cork.) The hinge pins are made of metal. (Hopefully stainless steel.) Thorough cleaning requires removing the silicone rubber seals. Securing the spout lid after pouring is done by pushing the flap down until it snaps under a small plastic lip on the spout. A small spatter of milk flies out as it snaps into place. The Silicone rubber seal compresses a bit providing an air tight seal. But I would not upend or place it on it's side as it may leak.
Fits a gallon milk jug. I mix different compost teas and liquid amendments then put them in various milk jugs. I use the spout on the jug to pour into tight places in the garden, with less waste of liquid. They fit just tight enough and occasionally pot off but what an easy solution to my need!
These are great as a drizzler! We use gallon-sized jugs of olive oil that are a pain to attempt to drizzle over our food (I know we should purchase smaller glass oil bottles with drizzle spouts lol). With these spouts, we keep the lid closed, and since the caps are not completely air tight, they drizzle oil out perfectly so we don't have to transfer the oil into another smaller pouring vessel. Just make sure the container you want to put this on has a standard gallon sized opening; nowadays with all the new and innovative packaging!
I LOVE ❤️ THESE We use them on gallon water jugs Use the RED for distilled The BLUE for the spring water We keep on water at the end of an island. Very easy to tell the type of water and for me so easy to pick up
