5.0 out of 5 starsReplacing the blade couldn't be easier!

Most utility knives you need to use a screwdriver to take the old blade out, you end up using a dull blade which is a waste fo time and a safety issue. With the Fancii, changing blades takes almost no time at all- I was able to flip my blade to use the other side while up a ladder and with no additional tools. Such a great knife!
Well...I was pretty happy with this knife. Yesterday it seemed fine and today it has completely fallen apart. I purchased in May and now its rather useless. It seems like the main swivel is really loose and it appears that 4 of the 6 tiny screws that hold the knife together are gone. They look like rivets. However, they are definitely tiny screws. I didn't even notice that it was getting loose or anything. Locktite might be have been a good idea. I am hoping they will send me another!
The small piece of metal that secures the blade sheared after about six months of very light, homegamer , use. Only used about once a week to open plastic bags of birdseed, smoker pellets, and cat litter. The hex bolts they use to put the damn thing together are between 1.5 and 2mm; I can not get the thing open to photo the failure.
I've gotten two of these knives and they both broke in the same exact way. The little button they use to lock the blade in place has broken into pieces. I would recommend this knife if you never have it in your pocket, otherwise, be extremely careful as I almost cut myself because the blade became dislodged. Extremely unfortunate since I do like the design and ease of use. Maybe change the locking mechanism to a screw or something more durable? It's not like you need to change the blade constantly.
I have owned this knife for 6 months and today the plastic button that holds the blade in place broke, rendering the knife completely useless. The enclosure is bolted with very small star screws so I can’t fix this without buying another tool. How in the world does this product have so many high reviews? I wonder. I use this only occasionally around the house. Today I was using it to cut a piece of old hose and the blade just flew out of its socket. I was lucky I didn’t get cut. This product is made almost entirely out of metal except for one critical piece that is plastic. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. Read the other 1star reviews they all say the same thing.
