To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
These strings are very cheap they don't hold tune well and they are quite scratchy sounding especially the E string I would not buy these again and if your a beginner violinist the sound will make you not want to play so go with a more expensive string.
This would be rated better if the strings had not been labeled 1,2,3 & 4. My beginner violinist had no idea where each string actually went and snapped two because she had them in the wrong spot and overtighen them. If they feel the need to number them then attach a form so beginners can know which cords they are.
After snapping two cords she brought it to me and the information can be found on the products main website.
So shortly after this review was originally posted more strings snapped. They are very cheap. We will not be purchasing this brand Eve again.
I would not at all recommend these strings. They are so bad that they cannot even tune properly. If you use that guitar tuna app on android to see the difference in string quality, Daddario Pro Arte and Zyex, most especially Kaplan, will hit the tuning bell on the app faster than you can snap your fingers. These strings will never get there.
The strings I received were improperly made to fit a violin. The balls of the strings were about the size of the balls on guitar strings. This made it nearly impossible to string my violin. In the end, I trashed all three sets and bought other strings. I didn't have the same problem with the new strings as they had the appropriate ball size.
