During pregnancy, after I started to get back/hip pain sleeping, I started using regular pillows for between my knees. I ordered this in my 2nd trimester for travel, but have ended up using it every day. It seemed small and hard when I got it, but those aspects are what turned out to make it so great! It doesn't lose it's shape or go flat, it's small enough that it's easy to roll over in bed with (which is already hard enough without having to deal with full sized pillows), and it stays much cooler than regular pillows. Up until a few weeks ago, I used it between my knees every night, but at 35 weeks now my stomach has gotten so large and is causing new back pain so I've swapped it to propping that up instead. Has helped a ton with getting better sleep and at this point I wish I had another one. Just as a note, I also have one of the c-shaped full body pregnancy pillows and have never been able to get comfortable with that. I know other people swear by those, but if you aren't finding them comfortable I would definitely try this as an alternative!
I originally purchased this to use during my pregnancy between my knees. However, it just wasn’t comfortable for me. I prefer a big fluffy pillow and the wedge isn’t very big or soft. I have been able to get use out of it after my baby was born under her bassinet mattress to keep her propped up. We think she has reflux and the doctors suggested keeping her elevated. It fits perfectly in her bassinet! We also use it sometimes for tummy time and it works great!
I thought this wedge pillow would be bigger, but it is quite small. At 23 weeks pregnant I didn't find it very useful, but I thought maybe it would come in handy more later on as my baby bump grows. However, I already ordered a U-shaped full body maternity pillow that I love so I doubt this one will come back in the bed with me! I never really wanted it for the belly support, but rather as a wedge that went under my back to prevent me from lying flat (as pregnant women are advised to avoid) but again, it wasn't quite big or thick enough for this purpose either. It was also too firm and awkward to find any comfort in cuddling with it. Not the pillow for me!
BLUF: Pros are that it can have multiple uses with back pain while side sleeping AND baby reflux prop. Con is that the quality of wedge foam could be made to last longer.
I wish I had purchased it sooner during my pregnancy! I waited until my baby bump was fairly robust in my third trimester before surrendering and placing a late night Amazon order. It definitely helped lessen the weight of my belly from pulling on my back while side sleeping.
In addition to pregnancy, I was able to find another use for the wedge postpartum. We use the wedge as a prop during diaper changes since my daughter has reflux and needs to be upright for a few minutes after feedings. It has been extremely handy!
The only Con I would say is that the wedge’s foam insert seems to be wearing down already at the tapered edge. We’ve put a lot of “miles” on it by now so that could be part of the reason..
I have owned this for a few days and I notice that I have improved sleep quality, even during my naps!! I saw this on an article for “must have pillows” during pregnancy and I decided to give it a try. I’m 20 weeks pregnant but I’m already finding it very hard to get comfortable at night. I’ve tried many styles of pillows without luck. This wasn’t expensive and was very much worth it!
I’ve tried full body pregnancy pillows and never could sleep well with them. This little wedge is just right. Place it under the belly, between the legs, or behind the back. Also it does not take up a bunch of space on the bed, and is easy to transfer if turning from one side to another. Small but mighty.
I didn’t want to spend the money for a pregnancy body pillow so I went with this wedge. I have used it for the majority of my pregnancy and I have to say I can’t sleep without it. It supports my belly as it should and helps with my sleep. The cover is removable so you can wash it when you need to wash it. I highly recommend this product if you need support, but don’t want to spend a fortune on a pregnancy pillow.
I purchased two of these, one for my back which I've used for most of my pregnancy to avoid rolling over onto my back from my side, and another which I will eventually use under my belly for support when sleeping on my side. They're such a nice fabric pattern which provide the support with a minimal profile.
I was feeling like I had no support under my Preggo belly at night and this made it hard to sleep. This pillow has been amazing in the 2nd-3rd trimesters. It’s a smaller wedge which is perfect. It’s fits great under the bump or under my low back. Helps me get sleep!
