Straight out of the packet it' s really stiff, so you know it's cheap. When I plugged it in it made a constant crackling that got worse as I moved it. Completely unusable! I'll be returning this for a refund.
I really liked the Donner guitar cable. You feel like plugging those more expensive cables into your guitar, with plugs with gold tip and great finish, but for less money! I would say these are great replacements for practice and live situations. I haven't tried it for recording, but I must assume it's good, too, once I kept switching between this cable and another "more expensive brand" that looks pretty similar, and there was no increase in amount of noise coming from my amp (Orange Terror + 2x10), and no change in bright or low areas of the EQ. Would definitely buy it again. I love how Donner makes quality stuff more affordable for the guitar players out there.
Immediately on opening the box you can tell this cable is on the premium side. First thing I noticed was how "pliable" the cable is, it doesn't bend like you're bending plastic, it has this great smooth movement to it. The braid is great looking and really soft as well. The leads feel great and I used the right angle side for my Les Paul style guitar so I don't bend the cable sitting down. For the price I think the average/intermediate guitarist will be more than happy with the cable, with the benefit of the right angle, soft and well braided cable and solid plug ins what more could you ask for?
REVIEW IN ENGLISH I had alreay bought this brand of cable before. I use them mainly for connections between devices and from output rig to amp and the sound is ok. They are durable and quite heavy. Good for a very first price.
This cable looks like it will be fairly durable. I am not 100% sold on the shroud material as it looks like it could wear over time. Having said that I prefer it to the plastic coated or rubber coated cables. Looks great too and I like the feel.
The ends were both a bit loose when I received it, quick tighten and they 'seem' to be holing up pretty well so far.
Only used for a short time so far, will update if this is either better, or worse than at first glance.
Great! Shipped sorta slow but it looks great. Have not used it yet, still waiting for amp to arrived. It seems to be of high quality. I always love photo reviews so I though why dont I review something for a change!
I bought this lead to replace a really old (original?) coiled lead on my 1982 Ibanez Blazer. The drop in Amp hum was immediate - it is still there but quite faint now. Notes are crisper and all the features on my amp now work without feedback or unwanted noises. A huge improvement for a great price.
I am in no way experienced with electric axe gear but I could feel the quality in this cable. It's weighty and feels very durable. It comes with its own organiser which is helpful. I got this over the more pricey Amazon recommended ones and I'm satisfied.
This was delivered to me about a week ago. I’ve used it about 5 times at home and once at band practice. Wrapped it properly and wasn’t stomping on the connections. Already it crackles and cuts out if the cord is moved at certain angles. I don’t know what I was expecting for the price but I’m extremely disappointed that it only lasted one session.
