So, I've used Pureology Hydrate Sheer shampoo before which I bought from a salon and I remember it being different from what I received here. I read Pureology's anti-diversion policy as per one viewers suggestion, and decided to give Amazon a try. The bottle I received looked identical to the one I had earlier but the shampoo was just different. It was not watered down but the smell was not as strong. Pureology's original shampoo has a very strong herbal scent. This one had just a whiff of that scent. It also left my hair looking dull and tangled even though I used it with the conditioner (original). Since this is a pricey shampoo, I just returned it and ordered the same one from the Pureology website (and paid $10 more, of course). Will update this review later as I am still not sure if Pureology products sold here are indeed authentic.
I tried using it four times but just couldn’t take the way it felt on my hair and scalp. No matter how much I rinsed it felt like there was a layer of oil on it. I have super fine hair but a good amount of it. It has a slightly medicinal smell too but I could have gotten used to it
I've used Pureology Nano Gold for years, but it was getting too expensive, so I switched to this. Although it cleans with just a tad, I feel it strips my hair of all moisture and leaves it drier and not as protected after using this shampoo. Doesn't feel "hydrated" at all. I'm still using my Nano Gold conditioner, so I may just swallow the cost and go back to using my previous shampoo.
