It's a good shampoo that lathers really easily and my hair feels great after it's been washed. Sometimes these sulphate free shampoos can fail to get the grease out but this one's great. I've marked down because of the smell, it has quite a medicinal smell to it which I'm not a fan of.
Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo, 250 ml is one hair shampoo I would happily recommend, and for me it is very easy for me to recommend as it left my very coloured hair glowing with health and with the conditioner from the same range my hair was so easy to style. I loved the fragrance of this shampoo; it smells divine of three separate aromatherapy ingredients which are 1. Bergamot - is an oily substance which is extracted from the rind of a dwarf variety of the Seville orange tree. 2. Ylang Ylang - a sweet-scented essential oil obtained from the flowers of a tropical tree; it smells so nice it is used in the manufacture of perfumes as well as aromatherapy oils. 3. Patchouli – is an aromatic oil obtained from a Southeast Asian shrub it is also used in the manufacture of perfumes as well as less fragranced products, which are insecticides and medicine. Each ingredient individually smells divine as well as with them being perfect ingredients for hair products. It is a lovely light fragrance which makes this shampoo a pure pleasure to use. It is a lightweight product, therefore, my hair looked and felt so healthy and as it was not weighed down, my hair was so easy to style. It is also great at hydrating hair which leaves my hair looking and feeling great. Another reason I do like this brand of shampoo is the fact it protects my semi-permanent hair colour enabling the colouring process can be extended periods in-between each visit to my hairdresser. This Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo is a pleasure to use and for me, it is a shampoo I will be buying more off as it leaves my hair hydrated, which is great as I colour my hair regularly and sometimes this can dry hair out. Happy to recommend.
For anyone thinking about buying this shampoo, don't hesitate. Those that said it's a fake product because it's not the correct color shampoo need to read more carefully before they hit the purchase button. This is not Pureology Hydrate Shampoo (which is purple in color). This is Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo (it's white). Notice the word "SHEER". It's a lighter weight version of their Hydrate Shampoo. I absolutely love it. Doesn't overdo it on the hydrate factor, so it doesn't weigh my hair down. Leaves my hair so soft. Also, I color my hair and this shampoo has been great, I don't notice any fading! I put off buying this shampoo for so long because I couldn't see spending so much money on a bottle of shampoo. But I was trying less expensive shampoos every few weeks, and not liking any of them. I finally caved and bought this after my hairdresser told me how much she liked it. I still think the price is ridiculous, and I'm not crazy about the herbal scent (I usually go for tropical scents), but I haven't bought anything else since. It works! Also, I recommend going to the Pureology website and read their "anti-diversion policy" (bottom of their home page) and what they say about unauthorized distributors. So you'll know how to get authentic Pureology products, not fakes.

I have thick, long, coloured hair and I need to use a quality shampoo because I colour it, heat treat it and the length needs caring for.
The bottle is a nice shape and also sits firmly on its lid for when the bottle is less than half full. The shampoo itself is thick, creamy and very lathery – you don't need much even with thick long hair. It smells lovely and feels creamy and smooth when lathering into the scalp and hair. It rinsed out nicely without leaving a soapy residue.
When dry, I felt that my hair was clean but without being stripped of natural oils. I like it very much and because of the good ingredients and being silicone-free, I feel it is a good quality shampoo.
Pureology does appear to be a premier brand with high quality products.
This sheer shampoo worked a treat on my fine hair. The shampoo lathers really easily and rinses our quickly. I found I only needed a small amount of shampoo to get a luxurious lather in our soft water area.
The shampoo smells divine and not at all artificial.
My hair was left feeling squeaky clean, light and bouncy.
£12.99 is the current price on amazon however the RRP is £19.99 which I wouldn’t be prepared to pay as only a small bottle.
4 stars from me - I dropped a star because of the recommended price.
So, I've used Pureology Hydrate Sheer shampoo before which I bought from a salon and I remember it being different from what I received here. I read Pureology's anti-diversion policy as per one viewers suggestion, and decided to give Amazon a try. The bottle I received looked identical to the one I had earlier but the shampoo was just different. It was not watered down but the smell was not as strong. Pureology's original shampoo has a very strong herbal scent. This one had just a whiff of that scent. It also left my hair looking dull and tangled even though I used it with the conditioner (original). Since this is a pricey shampoo, I just returned it and ordered the same one from the Pureology website (and paid $10 more, of course). Will update this review later as I am still not sure if Pureology products sold here are indeed authentic.
I have long, thick, straight hair that can handle silicones pretty well, but I wanted a hydrating shampoo without them for part of my biweekly deep conditioning routine. I've been pleased with this brand's clarifying shampoo in the past, so I figured this would be a solid choice.
The consistency is fabulous (nice and thick!) and it builds a lather even better than most sulfate shampoos. It provides pretty good slip, especially considering the lack of silicones, and leaves my hair feeling soft and tangle-free even before adding conditioner.
The fragrance is strong and herbal; straight from the bottle it's too much for me, but after rinsing and drying it's more subtle, although it does linger. It's not awful, but it's probably my least favorite part of the product.
I followed up with Hydrate Superfood treatment (which also has a somewhat herbal scent, but more banana-y) and my hair feels great. I'm seriously considering testing the regular Hydrate line for day to day use in place of my usual products.
ETA: I've since purchased the Hydrate Sheer Conditioner and both the shampoo and conditioner in the regular Hydrate line. They're all fantastic products.
