Giving 5 stars because product operated like the seller states. We ordered this to upgrade an old computer to enable Miracast to a Screenbeam Mini 2, but the computer has already been upgraded to Windows 10. After receiving and following the setup instructions we could not install the software on the computer because it recognized we were running Windows 10 and not 7 or 8. Windows 10 is not supported currently. The success stories we were reading about they believe are those that installed the software when they were using Windows 7 or 8 and later updated to Windows 10. The software was still there on their computer and found a work around to using it still after upgrading to Windows 10. If you are already rocking Windows 10 like us then this will not work for you. Hope this helps answer a question for others like we were wondering
I wanted to connect a Windows 7 desktop to a nearby wall-mounted monitor, to have announcements scrolling and photo slideshows. No joy, even after downloading drivers and reading help files and spending way too much time trying to configure it.
I know the receiver works, because we can connect to it with an Android tablet. So for some reason, the ScreenBeam transmitter dongle just doesn't work with any of the computers we want to use it with. We have other computers that can talk to the receiver already -- don't need the USB transmitter dongle, which is now collecting dust on my desk.
Works reasonably well w/ actiontec receiver. not sure if driver is intended only for 64 bit machine but it does not work on older 32 bit Windows 7. Occasionally it hangs and disconnects but able to reconnect. Connection to receiver is relatively slow compared to Windows 10 built in technology.
If you are running on Windows 10, will not work, but If you go back and install Windows 7 ultimate, the system will allow you to install actiontec software and work perfectly fine not only as a mirror but also as an extender. Then you can go ahead and install Windows 10 again and will get a perfect secondary monitor with no lagging at all
works well, we use it to connect to a Samsung mu65nu8000 TV, paired it with Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2 Wireless Display Receiver(SBWD60A01) both have performed well in the 2 weeks we have used them, set up was straight forward.
This worked okay (there was some lag) when I first installed it. I took it on a trip to use with a hotel TV, then nothing. I can't get it to work at home either. Obviously, I am very disappointed in the product.
