Having previously used Costco-branded foil sheets, I was extremely disappointed upon receipt of these by their thinness. Despite the embossing, which I had assumed would produce a stronger product, these sheets turned out to quite fragile - easily tearing if not pulled "just so" from the box. And though I've not yet used them in the oven, I suspect I will want to double-layer them to prevent any accidents. In summary, these sheets don't impress me as being a reliable container/cover for food products - though they may be adequate as "hair foils" during hi-lights. P.S. Comparatively speaking, these sheets were also noticeably smaller than my prior Costco sheets.
These foils are a great price for the amount that you get. I'm a hairstylist and the price of these are a lot cheaper than when I can get them for anywhere else. If you are are a hairstylist know that these ones are a little bit more on the thicker side rather than the thinner side. I know what everyone has their preference for one way or the other. I didn't notice any type of slippage from them though so they stay in place really well! They do not stick together though which is one of my big pet peeves.
Ugh. I feel bad leaving a negative review because I’m not an expert on foiling by any means, but these are really difficult to manipulate and fold if you’re doing your own hair. They are so thin! I guess these might be perfect for someone who knows what they are doing... and that’s a hint to say do not attempt to foil your hair unless you really know how to use these properly. Practice folding them before you start throwing bleach into the mix.
When I tried they didn’t stay in place, slid down, I couldn’t fold them without them just ending up scrunched and dangling.
People, are full of Horse manure. Don't go by negative reviews on this Product, A lot of over speculations, I found this FOIL wonderful and perfect for daily use, My husband I LOVE it, Good enough go in my toaster oven. Great for making baked potatoes. Is handy , is better than wasting large amounts foil on one item. This foil is my daily use, It serves it's purpose,
I am a professional hairstylist. Finding precut pop up foil can be a little on the expensive side. These were really easy to use. I am glad I found them on Amazon and I will purchase these from now on.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. These can and will do the job, but they rip very easily, and the texture is something to be mindful of. I also purchased a box of Framar foils, and though pricier, they are what I would choose for repurchase unless I really needed to save money. It is worth noting that I am not a professional, and have bought these only for personal use.
Product came already opened. Many foils were already damaged and some were torn. It appears as if many are missing as there is an inch gap from the top of the foil stack to the top of the box.
Foils are very thin and flimsy which may not be an issue when I use them to apply highlights to my hair. I'll update this review once I've used the foils for the intended purpose. I'll also update review with number of foils actually supplied once I count them.
I’m a professional hairdresser and I spend a lot of money with different brands of foils, I use an average of 3,000 individual foils in a month. ( which all end up in the trash) so I need to keep it in budget......fellow stylist will agree......this one in particular was excellent. It never got caught in the box while I was foiling a client. It was easy to fold and close. This is an item that has the quality I expect to give my client a great service. Would recommend to any hair professional or not. It works, and it’s way more affordable than all those fancy brands out there.
I'm pretty low maintenance with my hair, but after months of quarantine, my previously green hair was looking very lackluster and uneven. Solution? At home highlights! Without a mirror for the back. Without help. Without any training. What could go wrong?
I'm happy to say that I still have hair - though it did come out spotty, uneven, and ranges from copper babylights to platinum skunk stripes. The strips were really great for the job. They came out straight and easily, and held up well in my amateur hands. I think any of the bleach spillage was purely my fault, since most of the foils didn't end up leaking.
I'll probably save future bleaching for the professionals, but I've got some top-notch equipment if I decide to get creative again!
I purchased these in an attempt to start highlighting my hair at home. Now, while my bleach formulation was unsuccessful in my first attempt, these foils worked great! They have a great pop up design and are very easy to grab and use. I actually was able to easily rip these in half since I was just doing a root touch up foil so they will probably last me forever. These are the same size my hairdresser uses....They may even be the same ones. Such a great value.
