I have seen the Nintendo Direct about port for Switch with new features such as makeup and a horse? The 3D version is just as good. I finished the main stories within 6 days with exp grinding and farming for food. Only main character can be controlled as the rest of party act when they feel it especially the useless Cleric, so funny to watch the Mii prance about in the cutscenes and conflicts can occur randomly or when affinities are high. The tank must be one annoying as they always cause conflicts in the party. I found out later best to level each party member equally. At first it was annoying to lose party members and forced to change to different class. You will get them all back later on. I think people still play the game as I've noticed on Mii Central there are Mii of recent Politicans and celebrities. There are questionable and funny enemies such as the Twerky. Grub runs out so quickly, I tend to stock up whatever I can find before advancing to new area. I had fun playing and will return to explore end game areas. Good for laugh.
You can try a demo on the 3DS store, which I would recommend if you’re unsure, but speaking as someone who doesn’t really care for complex RPGs, this was right up my street. The game is pretty simple at its core, with you only controlling one character in your squad, but it works very well. The game lasts a long time too, but hasn’t outstayed it’s welcome. The best feature is how you completely choose the cast from Miis, including the ones you have in Tomadachi Life, and this of character can be as silly or as straight played as you like. My team of heroes was made up of a mix of my friends, fictional characters from popular culture and and a few I made up, and this mad rag tag team just made this game so much for funnier than I thought possible. One complaint, not sure if it’s because it’s a super powerful game, or because my 3DS is a bit old, but the game really drains the batteries much more than any other game I’ve owned. I can only play for about an hour because my console needs a recharge.
This game has quite a unique concept, but in my opinion, it could be executed a little better. The interactions between the characters in the game can be amusing at the start of the game, although the battle game-play as well as the interactions between characters gets a little bit repetitive. It's a perfect game if you are happy to casually play it for a little while at a time, although if you are looking for a game to sit down and play for a long length of time, maybe an hour or more, you'll probably find yourself doing the same or similar thing, leaving you fairly bored fairly quickly. I feel as this game would be more enjoyable as something to play with friends around, putting them and yourself in the game, as some of the things the characters say could make for good laughs with your friends.
The premise of the game is really fun! The gameplay is fairly repetitive, but it didn't get boring for me until quite some time in. There's a lot of different features to the game. From the outfits, relationships, story and battling.
Personally, I really enjoy the customisability the game offers. You can choose pretty much every character that appears in the adventure. You can take Miis from a variety of methods too, to make it easier to add friends/celebrities/etc. I also enjoy the relationships within the game. They add fun variety to it, and the abilities that come with each stage of the relationship are fun to discover. I find the fighting between pairs kind of tedious, though, but it doesn't happen often unless its story scripted.
After a certain point, it does get very repetitive and begins to drag on. It turns from exploring new areas to grinding and it takes away some of that original motivation and curiosity that kept me going. But you can still push through it.
Overall, I've really enjoyed this game. It's been good fun, and I feel like I'll come back to it a lot.
