To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I gave this product a four because it doesnt seem to crimp as expected. But I only tried on my wig which is a human hair wig so I figured it would work. I was very disappointed when it did not. However, I have not tried it in my hair. I will up date this review once I have tried it on my hair and another wig.
I tried to crimp my roots subtly to add volume but it turns out my pin straight fine hair is too fine for this method. Even the smallest about of crimped hair is visible through the rest of my hair. The crimper itself is fine.
I purchased this iron for an 80's dress up party. Absolutely love the results it produced. Brought me back to the old days. Directions are a bit confusing for changing out the plates but overall, I am very happy with my purchase!
Okay it's great overall but like you have to really press it tight to get a proper crimp which strains my wrists, hard to explain I actually went back to my old one. I'd say it's easier to use when someone is doing your hair rather you doing your hair, could just be me tho LOL
This crimper makes me happy. I bought this for my girls yet I think I use it more than they do! The cover is a little tricky to get off at first but other than that it’s great. To remove the cover and switch out iron plates, pull the cover straight off with some force.
Love this crimper...would have given it 5 stars but I only received one set of plates not 4 like it says you receive. Really well made, my hair looked awesome for an 80’s theme at my gym. Just wish I had all the other plates that are supposed to come with it😕
