I used this many years ago and thought by now that they would have improved it to last longer.
I purchased the red color. I can apply it and within 3 hours it disappears and my lips are no longer faintly lined.
I've purchased cheap lip pencils that last longer than these. I'm truly disappointed.
In case someone is reading this and may not know the proper way to apply lip liner, well here's the 411.....on dry bare lips draw around the shape of your lips like you would do on a coloring book, THEN apply and fill in with your matching lipstick. Then pat your lips lightly and reapply a second coat of lipstick. I see women of all ages that apply dark shades of lip liner on top of their lipstick. That's not the correct way. Hope this helps someone.
I only recommend this colorstay lip liner if it's on sale. Definitely wouldn't pay full price.
This is the one lip pencil I have found to match my lip color which is important in order to make my lips look fuller and more defined. The price was great as even at Target this pencil is over $10. It goes on smoothly and stays for hours. My tip on getting the most out of the liner is this. Put your base makeup on your face and when finished, put on your lip liner. At the end of putting on the rest of your makeup, fill your lips only with color. Don't go over the line. If you don't wear base, then put the liner on and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I find that in doing these two things, letting it set and not going over with lipstick, the liner lasts a long time.
This lipliner is long lasting and keeps gloss and lipstick from bleeding and feathering. I have also used L'Oreal Endure liner and this is definitely better--long lasting and better at forming a barrier at the lip line. It is not drying. I've been using it for several years. The red is a true red--neither pink nor orange in tone.
I have bought enough lip pencils from everywhere and paid a lot of money, but always come back to this one. It soft, but not so soft that it breaks which is a pain. It also doesn't need sharpening. I'm sticking with what works...
I needed to bring a lipliner to work that was small enough to fit in my makeup bag plus not too expensive. My expensive lip liners are long plus I didn't want to bring them to work. This pencil was great plus I loved that it contains a sharpener on the end. Great coverage plus I only had to apply once at work. Usually, I color in my lips with the pencil then apply either gloss or lip balm and the color stays all day.
The color is pretty, but it's a bit to creamy to stay on long. My matte lipstick stays on longer than the lip liner. After a few sips of anything from a cup/glass or a dab or two with a paper towel during a meal, the lip liner is nearly gone or it looks like nothing was ever there.
I used a NYX lip liner and this product as a lipstick, but I had no luck keeping it on my lips that way eithet.
