Nothing to dislike about it. It works fine strips the insulation off where you want, has a wire cutter (copper only, it says) and some spots to put connectors for crimping if the ones you're using fit. I've only had it a few weeks but it seems fairly durable. I use it for making my own R/C servo extensions.
Note: the crimper part will NOT work on R/C servo connectors, you need a different tool for those.
I was excited to get this in because I was working on installing a new radio in my car but I was very disappointed. After cutting wires back a few times it wouldn’t grip well on the same sized wires anymore. Not sure if the metal was dulled easily or if it’s not closing properly but I had higher expectations.
Bought this to install new porch lights around my house and have used them on several DIY projects since. Wire stripping part is sharp and aligned perfectly. Screw cutter takes some strength, but I don't know if it's any easier with other screw cutters.
I tried to use these to install a new light. The fastener that holds the two pieces together cutting a piece of 12/2 wire, which was the second cut I made. I did not misuse or abuse the tool. My Dad always told me there is no substitute for a quality tool. I remembered that when I was 20 feet up on a ladder and they broke!
