These work great. Just beware, if you are putting them on a 2x4 stud, the screws are about 1 1/2 inches wide, so it was hard to screw it into the wood without getting it on the side of the stud. We had to screw it in diagonal, towards the center of the wood. Other than that, it holds up great so far.
Used for a yoga swing, in an apartment ceiling. Use a strong magnetic stud finder.
Seems very sturdy. I bought this to hang a swinging chair for my daughter’s bedroom. It comes with two different types of screws. I should have read the instructions because the one type of screws could not penetrate the wooden beams so one of the screws is protruding and now it’s stuck. Other than that, the screws are long enough to securely seat the brackets to the ceiling.
I used these to hang our toddler's new swing under the deck. The tiny paper instructions aren't particularly helpful or grammatically correct. When drilling into solid wood I advise using a bit to pre-drill your holes. This will help the provided screws to go into the wood. We had to manually screw in the last bits to avoid stripping the screws. These are very strong and heavy duty hooks. I feel confident that they will continue to last and hold weight.
