My beautician recommended Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo for my fine, flyaway hair that is prone to split ends. I rate this product 5 stars because it preserves color better than any other shampoo I have used, even with daily use. Expecting the dried-out feeling of my scalp that is typical with commercial shampoos, I initially wondered whether my hair was getting clean with Pureology Sheer. After 7 months of use, this shampoo has redefined my expectations for "clean." My hair feels greasier than usual one day after shampooing, but also looks more natural and healthier because of stable color and decreased frizziness. Glad I can shampoo daily without extra damage.
I understand that there is little product if you buy a small bottle but at least they should sell it in a bottle that makes it possible to release the shampoo. Even if I put the bottle upside down the shampoo is so thick and bottle neck so thin a cannot squeeze the shampoo out. Also you have to make sure you wash it out completely otherwise your scalp will be itchy. I think it’s because the shampoo is really thick and sticky. I don’t recommend the product.
I have this weird combination of fine, frizz prone, naturally curly hair that I normally blow dry straight. I tried this sheer version of Hydrate and discovered that my hair really needs a product with more "weight" to really tame my frizz. I think the sheer factor of this shampoo worked too well for me. It does hydrate well, and my hair is really light and full of volume, so I think it would be great on someone with fine hair who doesn't need frizz control.
I'm not a big fan of the lavender scent, but that's not going to stop me from trying the regular version of their Hydrate shampoo.
The hydrate sheer is silicone free and not purple like the regular hydrate shampoo. It is very creamy and looks like conditioner but lathers really well. My hair feels very clean. The reason I marked down value for the money is because this teeny tiny bottle was almost $8. I wanted to try it before I shelled out $60+ for a big bottle.
The color, consistency, scent were all different but I didn’t feel like it worked any differently that the original shampoo product for my super fine and dry hair - so for me isn’t worth the additional cost.
this bottle is SO SMALL & product is so thick..very hard to get out!! don't love smell, that's ok. hair didn't feel stripped clean while rinsing. hair looked great..but only 2-3 uses in this size. so only used once..saving for important hair days. will pro order full size in future
