How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This book started with some bright ideas and history of money. Which i enjoyed very much. But the second part of the book become a bit boring. The Idea about algorithms ruling the world is quite interesting, but it was recycled so many times in the book, that you can't help it but feel sorry for the author, that he lost his drive at the end. Disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many ideas recycled

Books should present only original material. It has no sense to present the same ideas in all his books (sapiens, homo deus, etc...).

3.0 out of 5 stars A taste of previous books

Excellent, but wasn’t made clear this was taken straight from the pages of his other books, which I have already read, so I seem to have purchased something I already owned.

if you already bought and read HOMO DEUS this is not required. This is a straight lift from that book.

It's a good summary on a few important topics. You should read Homo Sapiens and Homo Deus if you want to get the full story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great text. Not so great production.

Five stars for the intellectual content, reduced by one for the poor quality of the paperback. Beside the pages falling out, the book is difficult to hold in my hand. Then, what is the point of producing a physical version.
I look forward to reading more texts by Yuval Harari.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!

An interesting, engaging and informative little book, ideal for an economic ignoramus who wants a little more insight into what the stuff actually is and how it works. The final section of the book veers into ideas he has explored elsewhere, as he looks into the future, but the book's none the worse for that and leaves the reader a whole range of new ideas.

Top notch writing from probably the wisest 'why are we here' writers today - focusing on money, which most of us take for granted - which we shouldn't...

5.0 out of 5 stars A book on money and data

A very interesting and easy-to-read book that presents Harari's ideas in a fairly coherent way. However, only half of this book is about money, with the last part dedicated to Harari's ideas on the future of technology and data. That said, both sections are interesting in their own right and the book contains a lot of well-explained ideas for the reader to grasp.
