It's a nice looking shirt but the material doesn't quite feel cotton. I don't really know materials but it feels slightly polyester, even though it says 100% cotton. Also, there is no chance of getting away without an iron. These shirts are bad for getting wrinkled in the wash/drier. I have other Carhartt shirts that don't have this problem but they also feel like a different material and are thicker. These shirts are quite thin. The fit is normal for what I expect from Carhartt.
I got this as a work shirt. I usually wear Dickies, but decided to give Carhartt a try. It looks and fits great. My one, but big complaint, is that it wrinkles very easy. I hang all my shirts, and still this shirt is always wrinkly. Taking it right out of the dryer after it stops, and it's still full off wrinkles. Not sure what I can do to prevent this shirt from wrinkling, but it's just a work shirt...so I'm not going to go out of my to iron it.
It seems i just received a used shirt. No tags, no Carhartt sticker on the front of the shirt (like all my other Carhartt shirts came with). And it looks and feels and has wrinkles as if it's been washed.
I hate to give this a 3 star rating because it's the seller not the shirt i have issue with. But Amazon makes me leave a rating so 3 stars it is i guess.
I had a few Carhartts and I needed a few more. Grabbed a few of these. At first, it fit well, maybe a little big. I build stuff so I move around and that was okay. I noticed that the new shirts flet larger than my old shirts and thought maybe it was a factory thing. Today I put on my freshly washed new shirt and it's as if it as shrunk a whole size in one wash. This is after several washes with no changes. I even washed it in cold.. maybe it was the dryer but .. wow.. they shrink a lot.
I purchased two of these shirts. Different colors. One of the shirts, the black and white check, fit perfectly and looks great. The other shirt, a red-brown check, is too small. I am, as many men of my age, a bit rotund in the middle and prefer a shirt with buttons that I do not challenge. So, 2 shirts, different colors, same brand, same size, one fits, the other doesn't.
