The wife loves it. She kept raving about how much better her back feels so I decided to give it a whirl. I'll be danged if it did not help with supporting my beer gut. Now I can carry around my half keg like you wouldn't believe.
This belt was great for the first week or two. While it didn't significantly help my overall back pain, it definitely relieved the pressure on my sciatic nerve. However, being a size 16, I didn't have a small belly before being pregnant and by around 25 weeks I found the belt completely useless. No matter how tight I made it, it would slip down during the day and sat very uncomfortably on my hips. Due to slipping the belt became misshapen and no matter how much I tried stretching it out, it never regained it's original shape. I think this belt could be very helpful to someone smaller, but it just didn't work for me.
I like it! I will say I have to wear it strapped as tightly as possible. I usually wear a medium in tops and pre-pregnancy had a small waist and flat stomach- but even with my 9 month belly it’s just barely tight enough. I’d be wary of this if I was a really little woman.
I am 28 weeks pregnant and have round ligament pain. I was advised to get a maternity support belt, and I chose this one. I could not be happier! Oh, man- this thing is like a pillowy hug that gently supports my belly. I love it! It is so comfy and supportive, and even provides some lower back support! I can't wait to use this thing at work when I'm on my feet for 6 hours!
Um...is this not meant for a pregnant woman? Its so small. And im not obese or anything, and only at 30 weeks. I either have to have my husband strap this on or i have to do it over my chest and then pull it down. But when i actually try to connect it around my stomach where it belongs it doesnt reach all the way around. Come on, this is specifically meant for a big belly, why does it have no extra length to work with?? Once it is on it's fine, but is it supposed to be this much of a hassle?
I run 2 days a week, lift 2 days and do yoga the other 2 days. This belt has been extremely helpful in allowing me to continue doing so at 33 weeks with little discomfort. I would absolutely recommend.
I will be having my baby within the next week and I it’s my third child, I really wish I would’ve had this product with my first two pregnancies and sooner with this third one. I am the biggest I have ever been with my belly and this band is a life saver! One can tighten and loosen as much as one wants and can be worn all day long; except to sleep.
One thing I noticed was my posture, I am a small and short person and my belly is most of my weight. I was slouching a lot, making my back, shoulders and neck hurt a lot. As soon as I wore this band I was able to sit and walk straight and do things without straining myself.
I recommend this product to anyone that needs that support; especially for pregnancies.
I’m glad I bought this.. it helps reduce the pressure on my lower pelvic.. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I notice I can walk comfortably without feeling the pressure on my bladder :) I don’t always wear it.. I usually wear it if I need to go for a long walk.. but when I’m home I let my pelvic rest.. to help balance the circulation of my blood and so is the baby.. well this is my personal preference.. it helps tho..
This is my second pregnancy and I am having a lot more pelvic pain than my first, so I just searched around Amazon until I found a reasonably priced option for a support belt. I ultimately chose this one as they all seemed fairly similar, because this one had the option to extend to 52 inches as I continue to expand. If the general population only needs up to the normal 42 inches that is standard with these, good luck, lol! I can already tell I’ll need some extra length. It’s super comfortable and I can feel major support when I’m wearing it, particularly for when I’m walking/exercising which was another big reason I wanted one so that I could continue being active while pregnant.
