You won’t be disappointed ...

If you’re looking to add a more cinematic sound to your current Sonos TV setup, then look no further! For years I had debated buying this sub and with such a high price tag, it wasn’t one to rush in to. Having owned both the Sonos Playbar and Sonos Beam, I didn’t feel the need to add additional bass as these hold their own ... how much better could it really be??
The answer, a lot better !! The sub is not only well designed, it is the perfect addition to films and TV shows as it elevates the sound to another level. People often think adding a sub is for over the top bass but with the Sonos Sub you have the option to control the bass level via the Sonos App .. from -15 to +15. This is fantastic if you live in an apartment, where you can annoy the neighbours a little less by setting it to 0. Even at the low level, you will notice a major difference to your sound experience.
Movies sound more immersive and vocals are actually clearer on my Beam. I assume this is due to the Sub doing the work of providing the bass, allowing the sound bar to concentrate more on the central sound .. like vocal.
Music also sounds much better with the sub, it adds a nice undertone to tracks and I can imagine if you like A LOT of bass in your tunes, this Sub would have no problem handling such music.
Overall, this sub covers a range of environments, form medium spaces to large cinema rooms. Yes, it’s expensive but you do get an exceptional experience when pairing this to your current set up and it is worth noting it can be paired to any Sonos speaker. For example, if you want this for music only you could pair it with a Play5 or a set of Play1’s - the options are endless!
If you do decide to purchase, you won’t be disappointed. I have seen this ONCE for $775 AUD but it looks like Amazon usually price this at $850 AUD, which is cheaper the most high street stores.
