I had high hopes and really wanted to like these shoes. Overall, they are decent for a budget pair of tri shoes. The craftsmanship is there and they seem to be put together well. There is a decent size loop on the heal. Good ventilation. Fairly light. I would say true to size. The problems I had were that the main strap would not actually close tight enough on my foot. Even when pulled down all the way the shoe was loose. Also, the strap could pull out of the of the metal "ring" too easily and I would be concerned it would come out when I was trying to slip my foot in while riding. (I do keep my shoes on the bike and do a flying mount). The shoe is not very stiff. I have an old pair of Lake 211s and they are definitely stiffer. Lastly, I don't know what a "removable sock liner" is? the insole does come out. I probably would have kept them is the strap was designed a little better.
