It's a great smelling out, a big shame the company feels the need to LIE about the ingredients, fake marketing it as real Otto oil. We know its not possible for this price! I saw a poster on reddit post the info/chemistry document on Otto Oil that Gya Labs sent to them, and though 50% seems to be volatile oils of natural origin (if you trust this report) another 50% is basically isopropyl myristate and 2 artificial fragrances that are used in a lot of cosmetics as preservatives and enhancers of scent. One of them is known to have a rich, jasmine like smell- that can explain why some people find this rose oil smell too heavy to be real. In any case it's probably not any more dangerous than perfumes or deodorants or scent sticks that we use on our skins and in our homes, but a bit dissapointing really. It does smell great and I'm still planning to use it. Though I wont repurchase and will stay away from any other oils they sell.
I have smelled many roses and rose oils through the years. This is extremely nice while being a rather decent price. I have smelled richer rose oils, though I imagine all differ based on where they were grown and what variety. When I was a girl, we lived in Beirut Lebanon. I still remember visiting a friend of my parents who had a bowl of rose petals on a coffee table that you could smell throughout the house. I like this oil, and will enjoy using it.
I received this oil via Amazon Prime with 2 day delivery in excellent condition. This oil has a very pleasant aroma however, I'm sure it's diluted with a carrier oil possibly, sunflower oil. The price is way too low for undiluted Rose Otto. Genuine Rose Otto cost over $230 for a 3 ml to 5 ml bottle, and almost $1,000 and up for a 10 ml bottle. It is very expensive to manufacture pure Rose Otto essential oil due to the excessive amount of roses used in production. I have a 5 ml bottle of Rose Otto essential oil by Plant Therapy, which is diluted with sunflower oil, and it costs $19.99. They are currently out of stock, so I've decided to purchase this bottle by Gya Labs. They did not disclose on the label which carrier oil they used to dilute this product. I prefer Plant Therapy's Rose Otto because the scent is more rosy and it blends very well with spearmint essential oil and other oils that I use to make my special anti-allergy, anti-viral blend. Gya Lab's Rose Otto is pretty good and blends well with my carrier oil. It goes on smooth and smells nice on my skin. This oil will be my second choice to buy when Plant Therapy is out of stock.
Smells just how I imagined it would. 4 stars only because I’ve never purchased a Rose Otto EO before, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I diluted a couple drops in jojoba oil and used as a body “lotion.” The scent lingered a lot longer than other EOs have when I apply them to my skin. Smells divine! I purchased this brand over others because it was one of the cheapest undiluted Rose Otto EOs I could find. All the other essential oils I purchased from Gya Labs (Neroli and Basil) were also very nice quality, but again, I don’t have any other brands to compare those two.
