To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The leveler functions well and easy to set up. One issue I have is it’s fitting to my 58mm basket. After leveling, it tends to leave a thin side wall. Granted, this may well be due to the basket that comes with my Gagia Classic.
This is a nice distributor for the price but it’s not perfect. It has a nice weight to it and does what it’s supposed to do. Unlike the more expensive versions, this one doesn’t have any washers you have to fool with removing or adding back in. Only downside is that the metal has some rough edges that can be sharp.
The tool does its intended job of leveling your grinds, but the build quality is mediocre at best. The black coating of the knob had already started to scratch off when tightening the different parts of the knob together for the first time to lock in my preferred height. This black coating also creates a lot of friction where it makes contact with my portafilter basket when spinning (you can really feel and hear the sensation of metal spinning against metal).
