I am a real Keen footwear enthusiast as they are usually comfortable straight out of the box and fit my wide feet. But the Glenhaven shoes have tortuously stiff and tight uppers around the toes and are very narrow compared to all my previous Keen shoes and boots.
Although these are made from quality materials and construction, I don’t think I could walk quarter of a mile in these without developing some serious problems, so back they go. Maybe I’ll swap for Keen Austins.
I rarely buy clothes or shoes online as they never fit but purchased these on the back of multiple reviews advising of a narrow fit. They absolutely are not a narrow fit, if anything they are wide. It's a shame as the style and quality are good.
Shoes are what expected so all good. The problem is that the delivery guy left them on the sidewalk in front of the apartment building. If it would not have been for an honest lady who rang the bell of a neighbor to give the package to them the shoes would have been stolen for sure!
For me these shoes were hard to get on in a 10 so I tried a 10 1/2 and it was a little too big. I stuck with the 10 1/2 and so far I like the fit there's room in the toes and the top hugs firmly. The material did not go well in wet situation. I had fading and water spots when they got wet. I cleaned them with shoe lotion and they're black and food as new. They are also slick on wet pavement. But in dry they have great grip. After wearing a few times they seem to be breaking in well. I think the 10s would have broken in to fit well over time, the 10 1/2 seems to have loosened up quites a bit after a few weeks. I still love them I'm just between sizes with this shoe.
