Fabric is a thin, dull cheap polyester/vinyl type. Not a whool/cotton chino short at all. While these are usable they certainly do not look good. I would avoid these if possible. Price should have been lower.
I loved these shorts - for about two days. They looked great, fit great, and felt really comfortable. Then I washed them. They emerged from the washer not just wrinkled but actually sort of crinkled. And ironing didn't help all that much. Oh, and a one inch split emerged along the outside seam, just about an inch above the bottom seam. It's disappointing. When I first opened the package and tried them on I was so happy I almost ordered three more pairs in different colors. Then I happened to notice a couple of bad reviews and so I decided to wait until after I had washed them. I'm glad I waited. Would not recommend.
Shorts almost felt like they were cut for a female, just short in the legs and too high above the knee. The picture just doesn't do them justice, for me it was several inches higher than displayed on the model. Also, the material seems to really "hold" wrinkles more than other shorts I've owned.
I liked the particular color "Eiffel" it was a nice darker gray, but other than that I had to return them.
I mistakenly had the idea that Amazon's offerings of proprietary clothing products would be similar to Costco's - better than average quality at lower than average price. I tried the Amazon mens shorts, but was disappointed with the quality - not terrible but fabric seemed flimsy compared to some other brands. So I "upgraded" to Goodthreads, but sad to say am even more disappointed. The fabric wrinkled badly on first wearing and has stayed that way. Back to Costco, Dockers or Brooks Bros on sale!
The shorts look nice when you first get them. But the material is some synthetic material that doesn't do well in the wash. They shrink a lot the first time you wash them and then they get wrinkled beyond belief - they are literally unwearable because they are too wrinkled after washing, even if you take them out and hang them up while damp. Don't waste your money on these.
I became a big fan of Goodthreads pants and shorts a few months ago: excellent value for money. But lately I have become less enthusiastic. A few weeks ago I received a pair of dress chinos labelled with the size I ordered, only to discover that they were actually one size smaller than labeled. Last week I received a pair of Goodthreads shorts, again labelled as ordered but found them about an inch smaller than the label indicated. Moral of the story, there is either (1) a lack of precision in labeling, (2) frequent mislabeling or (3) a lack of quality control. Let the buyer beware.
They fit just fine but the material is thin, very thin. They wrinkle every time out of the wash and become wrinkled while wearing very easy. The colors are not vibrant. Not a lot of positive things to say. I will spend the extra money next time and get a good pair of Chaps or Dockers next time.
These shorts get wrinkled after you wash them. The first wear is nice and they are comfortable and I like the color, but after the second wash and dry (on low heat) they started getting wrinkles that don’t really come out. I think it’s the thread pulling when it shrinks in the dryer. They are still nice shorts, but they just have a wrinkled look. I wouldn’t buy a second pair.
The shorts are nice but: they're so stretchy you can pull them up/down without buttons and they run about an inch too large per the size around the waist. The color is nice - they do NOT shrink up at all in the wash (even on hot with a hot dryer).
