*Spoiler alert* Well... A year of waiting and the author just basically wrapped up the series. The tone for the characters are very different than the other two books. I can’t really understand what Killian was saying she change the spelling and made it really difficult to read his dialogue. I expected so much more from Ms. Showalter. there was definitely a typo really bothered me she had over a year to proof read it. She could’ve had the realms really go to war and have a vector, but everyone’s a conduit. It was really weird having Ten call Killian her husband... Killian and Ten spend the entire book trying to remember each other. I wanted to read about their relationship growing, not rereading the first two books.
Third and final book of the Everlife series. Needs to be read as part of the series. YA dark fantasy with e extreme violence and torture triggers. The final saga of Tenley Lockwood and her afterlife choices.
Fun reference to author Kresley Cole and how lies are curses we place on ourselves.
The text was literally making me sick in the amount of torture, pain, lies, and ugliness that occurred over and over throughout the entire series. I thought the first was dark with misery but I think this third book surpassed the first.
I am going with 4 stars because of the consistency of the tone throughout the series as well as character continuity for Ten and her number issues as well as believing in ideals. For the shear violence I would have made this a lower rating so fair warning, not for the younger easily influenced crowd.
Love this book, series and author! This trilogy is definitely unique, fun to read and entertaining. It's so nice to have a fresh book idea, not that I'm complaining about all the other book series I read and love but sometimes you want to read a concept noone has thought of before and she delivers on that in these books! Everlife is the third and final book in the Everlife series and it did not disappoint! Ten, Killian and friends, including her guardian pitbull Biscuit whom I absolutely love, team up for the final showdown between realms. We find out who Ten chose for the resurrection and why. We get an inside look into both realms, another stint in many ends and everything is explained and resolved by the end of the book, for good or bad. No cliffhangers! Although she left enough speculations(not saying anymore than that! I hate spoilers!) so she could easily write a novella or short story later on showing what some of the characters have been up to or even make another trilogy years later with or without, I vote with and a trilogy please lol! The only thing I wish was different in this book is the amount of page time Sloan got. I hated her at first in the beging of book one, then started to really like her by the end of the book only to hate her again at the end just so I could like her again in book two 😂 If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend it and definitely read them in order starting with Firstlife then lifeblood and finally Everlife.
Everlife is the stunning conclusion to Gena Showalters epic Everlife trilogy. It is a tale of love and hate, shadows and light, constantly battling for dominion over the souls of all mankind. Tenley, sacrifices again and again for the freedom of choice and peace for all, to end the oppression and hate that has been spread far and wide by Ambrosian, fueled by his hate and selfish desires. By her side are her loyal and steadfast loved ones that spread light wherever they go, no matter the cost to themselves. Who will win in this epic battle between light and dark, brother against brother, realm against realm . The journey has been hard, but the conclusion is not one to miss. Five spectacularly epic stars Miss Showalter!
It was very good. I enjoyed it. It was a rough spot when I started because it felt like it was dragging. But it picked itself up and kept me entertained. Ten proves time and time again never to doubt Love. Love will help you accomplish the impossible. With a few friends and her Looney Luna she gets it done. Oh don’t think I forgot about Killian. It was so good to see how far he has come. It was even better to get an insight into his thoughts and how he came to be how he was. Do I recommend? Very much so. Will I re-read? No. Me not re-reading does not negate it being good. I just cannot get past how I felt reading the first couple chapters- I wanted the book to be over already. But that was an arbitrary thought. Enjoy.
Whoa! I can’t get over how much I enjoyed reading this series as whole. Everlife is the third book that wraps up the series and it does so beautifully!! HEA is something I’m always hoping for at the end but sometimes not everyone gets one. Everlife delivered a spectacular HEA that made my heart happy. Not only that, the series as a whole gave me characters I was invested in and could relate to. My heart melted with Ten and Killian. I love their story so much. This is one of those reads that will stay with me and that can’t be said for every book I read. I’ll definitely be reading more of Gena Showalter’s work. What I really want now is to see these books made into movies because I saw it all playing out in my mind and think, if properly executed, they would be amazing to see on screen.
This was the ultimate show down between good versus evil...light versus dark and how even the darkest of souls can become light if they let love in. I loved how there was even a shout out to Kresley Cole’s The Arcana Chronicles series!!
In this series, there are two factions that you have to decide where you want to pledge your fealty and spend you second life...Myridian and Troika. Myridian focuses on doing whatever feels good, following your own personal wants and needs, while Troika was more into following your heart and loving others and forgiving others. I don’t want to give away the story line but this series is definitely different than others I’ve read and it was positively a great read!! Loved the lead characters, Tenley Lockwood and Killian Flynn, although there were moments I despised Killian as well.. don’t want to spoil the why’s of that statement..you wanna know...buy the book!!
