This wonderful tool is really useful for people who like to figure out different chord variations. the chord root is in red. if all four strings are being used in a chord then you can move it all over the fretboard. so instead of having 70 chords, you really have at least 500 chords, if you know just a tiny bit of theory. mainly semi tones. the other side has the circle of fourths and fifths.take six adjoining chords from the circle, like a slice of pie, and all of those six chords sound wonderful together. plus you get all of the notes on the fret board that you can use for your moveable chords. love it, a must have for a ukulele player that really wants to learn. small and laminated. fits in case. thank you!
A perfect size with great chord information and sooo easy to use and refer to! Sure beats flipping through a book while playing and needing to look up a chord! The fact it’s laminated makes it “curl free” and clean! I rest it on the stand with the music I’m playing. Perfectly suited for the beginner player but also a great easy reference for other levels of ability.
For some reason they stuck a label on the back (see photo). And it wasn't one of those peel-off labels either. It was stuck down securely. Of course it ripped when I was taking it off. Then it left a bunch of adhesive. So I had to get some solvent to remove the leftover glue. They should figure out a better way to handle their label.
I haven't written many reviews, but the ones that I've written have always been positive. This is my first review that recommends AGAINST buying this product.
While the information is certainly valuable, the product is cheaply made. Looks like someone printed the information out with a home printer and then laminated it. That in and of itself is not a big issue. I had read complaints about the sticker that is stuck on and covers part of the card. This sticker is impossible to remove easily or completely. I even tried heating it up with a hot air gun to no avail.
I recommend that you do an internet search on ukelele chords and create the information yourself. Then print it out and laminate it.
Well, here’s another review about the label. It would have 5 stars. I knew the cost and the size, so no problem there, but it would be much more effective if a super sticky label wasn’t stuck over some of the information and a hassle to get off. Maybe some different glue or put the label over plastic wrap? That’s so not necessary and ANNOYING! If I’m paying $7 for a card, I expect to be able to use all of it right out of the package and not need to buy goo gone and spend 45 minutes picking paper layers off.
Absolutely perfect reference. The size is perfect for portability, and the information on it is invaluable. In addition to the chords on one side, it also has the keyboard notes on the other, along with chord formulas and chord progressions. I love it so much that I ordered a couple more from the company. Also, not for nothing, be sure to read the "Thanks for your support" on the leaflet that comes with the product - it's hilarious and creative.
This is a handy chart packed with a lot of good information in a very small space. It is great for Ukers of all skill levels. I keep one in the cases of all my ukes. I also provide them for my friends and students. They all love them too. I had a problem with an order and the company reacted quickly and generously. It is often when an incident happens that you find the true character of a company. These folks are great!
