Not at all fiddly, easy to fill, top screws on keeping contents secure, fine mesh does not allow bits through.. perfect for leaves and blended teas.. a little bigger than a whittards round infused, but perfect for the tapered mug I have.. hope the picture helps
Very fine mesh so very good for catching the tiniest bits of loose leaf teas. They're a bit light so often float a bit when water is added to the cup, but if you hang on to the chain it's ok. They feel quite thin and the sides bend under slight pressure so be careful screwing the tops on too hard. Very pleased with them overall. I wash in dishwasher absolutely fine.
I drink loose leaf red bush tea and needed an Infuser that does not come apart after being left for 5 minutes to brew, well this is it! First class, a little on the large size but ideal for what I use it for and for small teapots.
I had the round ones and they kept coming open. These are fantastic - fine mesh so nothing gets through and easy to empty. I actually just came to buy some more as I was so impressed but I must have got a good sale price as these are now a lot more expensive. I will be buying more but will definitely keep an eye out and hope for a sale again!
I enjoy cooking curries with whole spices, and have no issues with them in my final plate of cooked food; but my wife does not like coming across them when spooning food into her mouth. The solution... This fine mesh tea ball. It is perfect for my culinary experiments, the whole spices can be used, and infuse perfectly, and like a bouquet garni use in European cooking, it can be removed at the end, with no sign, except for the delicious flavour.
1. Very secure screw lid 2. Long enough chain to hook on various size of cup handles 3. Easy clean and sturdy construction 4.Stains over time but that's only cosmetic. 5. Beware, little tray has sharp edges. I cut my finger whilst washing it. Slightly deeper paper cut. 6. Stainless steel gets hot and stays fairly hot, so dont try to empty it straight away.
The extra fine mesh holds all the finer tea leaves not releasing any in the water. I've already bought an extra one as a gift, they seem good quality and durable. The infuser is quite light though so it sometimes tends to float in the water -- they maybe could have made it a bit heavier.
Funnily enough, this thing wasn't my cup of tea. Very large and very thin and delicate. So when I was washing it I accidentally put too much pressure on it and buckled one of the sides. I fully understand it was me who did that and the product is probably intended to be that delicate. Just not really suited to my big ol' clumsy fingers is all.
Great little gadget, keeps tea leaves and bits inside, the mesh is very fine so none of the bits leak into the cup. Lid holds well. The cute metal plate helps, when the tea infuser is ready to be taken out. Easy to clean and hygenic because of metal material. Would totally recommend.
