They are soft and warm yet they are not stitched well. The fabric seems to be not as strong. My daughter had them twice and they started to tear in few places. I had to use my sawing machine to stitch them back together. will not be buying them again.
Are they thicker than normal leggings? Yes. Are they fleece lined? Definitely not!
I have purchased about 10 products from Spotted Zebra and have been very impressed with the quality, until these leggings arrived. The "fleece" lining inside is more like a very scratchy low quality bath towel. My daughter is very sensitive to touch and likely will not wear this if they do not soften up with washing. I purchased the set with pink solid and with hearts. It appears the hearts are black in the photo but upon arrival it is a deep blue.
I would absolutely return these but I got them at a sale price and the inconvenience of driving 30 minutes to the post office isn't worth the trouble. Fingers crossed they soften up in the wash.
As far as leggings go, these are fine. The color and pattern are nice. But these, by any definition, cannot be considered "fleece lined." The lining is at best a very scratchy, thin terry cloth like material. These are not suitable or useful for cold weather or for a kid who is looking for something "cozy" and comfortable. Perhaps after some washing, they will soften up but the lining is cheap and thin. We're returning.
I went on a mission to buy warm, fleece lined leggings for my rather petite daughter who gets cold in the winter. I was happy to find these and liked their designs. Unfortunately, they arrived and are just plain, unlined leggings...no fleece lining at all. If you want regular leggings, these will work for you.
These leggings are really cute, brightly colored, the giraffe print is my favorite. But, my daughter basically only wears "fuzzy leggings" (fleece lined), so her use out of these is minimal. I'm not going to go through the hassle of returning or exchanging them, she'll get some use out of them and we'll pass them along, but I would never have ordered them if I had realized how not-fleece they are.
