To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I had used Pura Dor before multiple times and I loved it, however, this time purchased through amazon.com.au and the shampoo is not the same! It is making my hair rock hard after wash and also it feels diluted, more liquidy than I have purchased from the US. Hence the 1 star rating. I am not sure if the shampoo is the same!
My hair started thinning significantly and became extremely dry and brittle due to a thyroid condition. Almost overnight my hair went from long, thick, strong, and beautiful to thin (extremely thin), frizzy, dry, and brittle. I ordered this shampoo and conditioner out of desperation. I swear, I cannot make this up. After one wash, one single wash, my hair felt and looked 1000x better and has only gotten better with every wash. I haven’t seen a decline in the amount of hair loss (only been using a couple of weeks) but even if all it did was make my hair look and feel healthy again, it’s worth every penny!
UPDATE: I have finally started to see new hair growth. It took about 60 days of consistent use, but I can see a ton of new hair growth & have seen SIGNIFICANT less hair loss.
So I recently have been diagnosed with alopecia areata in June of 2019. I was so devastated that I had huge bald spots on my head.... I tried pills, other growth shampoos, oils, and nothing, my bald spots still remained perfectly smooth and bald. So I decided to look into products that have all kinds of essential oils and hair growth and I came across this shampoo/conditioner. I was a bit nervous reading the reviews since I saw some hair falling out (my hair falls out ALL THE TIME), so I was scared but I wanted to try it since some of the reviews were positive. And let me tell you.... just 1 1/2 month of CONSISTENT USE (I was my hair twice a week, sometimes 3 times), and my hair is growing back!!! I never thought I’d see hair there again, and it’s growing FAST! Absolutely the best product ever for hair growth, I’d recommend to anyone. I’d give it a 10 if I could, and the conditioner leaves my hair sooooo soft and smooth, and the smell is wonderful too! Smells like essential oils. I recommend this to any person going through alopecia areata, it’ll give you back that confidence.
This is a wonderful set of shampoo and conditioner. I take a lot of medicine for my immune system, making my hair thinner and even fall, what is extremely depressing. After only 1 use, I could feel my hair fuller and shiner. Thanks God I found your company (recommended by a friend with the same problems, actually !)
This shampoo/conditioner is fantastic! I've have thinning hair for a couple of years now and have tried other products which claim to reverse hair thinning but none have worked for me. After the first wash using both the shampoo and conditioner my hair feels thick and full like no other product I've tried before, I look forward to see how my hair progresses in the future. P.S It smells gorgeous!
I have now used the product for over a month. My immediate impressions were: product feels good quality and smells natural, pleasant but not strong. Shampoo is fairly thick but lathers well. Conditioner is quite dense and much creamier than I would expect. I believe hair hais gained a little weight and kept good shine and softness. After having used it for a month, I believe that the product is effective in making hair look fuller. Whilst I use it in combination with Finasteride and Minoxidil, I have noticed that it has helped with the strengthening of thinning hair. I will be buying it again
I absolutely love this product! The shampoo makes a luxurious lather and makes the massage process very easy and gentle. Absolutely in love with the conditioner, it has a gorgeous smell of green apples and leaves my hair soft as silk ! Absolutely mad about this combo!
My hair is naturally fine but when I noticed an abnormal amount began coming out too easily. When I started seeing clumps of my hair fall out from adding conditioner and then detangling it with my fingers... you can imagine how scared I was. After I bought Purador. It took about a month to see results. Eventually, my hair stopped falling out. (It didn’t go back to the standard daily shedding of 100 hairs, it stopped!) Only a few strands here and there. It REALLY made a difference and worked. Just be patient and be good to yourself. Update: The last place I modeled for was a hair salon that sold extensions and wigs. Over time, the clips that hold them in pull your scalp near the hairline causing hair loss... something I can’t afford to lose since I have very fine hair. So after finishing my first bottles of Purador Shampoo/Conditioner, I took a picture of my hairline and couldn’t believe my eyes!
Disclaimer: Purador won’t make fine hair thick, or straight hair curl.. but it’s been the most helpful product I’ve tried in stopping hair loss and helping new hairs to grow in.
Tips: A little goes a long way: If you have fine hair or you just want to make your Purador last longer, add 4-5 pumps of Purador shampoo and conditioner to separate bottles and dilute it with water. Diluted or not, only add the shampoo to your scalp and massage all over and into the scalp well. When you fiends your hair the shampoo will go down the hair shaft and cleanse it. When using diluted conditioner or not, only apply conditioner to the hair shaft, and not the scalp. This will help your prevent your scalp from having clogged pores. I have short layered hair so it’s hard not to get the conditioner on my scalp but I will put some diluted conditioner on my fingers and gently rake it through the hair shaft instead of rubbing it on my scalp.
I’ve attached a photo (that does little justice for how much hair has grown back!)
