I have a lot of dogs! And this stuff is great for keeping the smell down. I followed the instructions and other reviewers- spray when it’s cool and damp. Let the enzymes break down all the proteins that causes the smells. It only works when it’s wet/damp. So spraying on a hot day is a waste. I spray the whole dog run using the bottle that you attach to the hose. I bought that bottle and I bought these refills. I also have a sprayer that I fill up for spot treatments. It has a nice fresh smell. And the best part is that if I spray around my plants, it doesn’t kill them. And it’s also non-toxic to the dogs. I am buying more of these!
We live in AZ and have turf for grass. We have a Golden Retriever that is 105 lbs. She has access to the outside with a dog door and so we spray our turf once a week with the simply green odor remover. We spray the turf daily as it works all week as long as the turf is damp. This smells great and so easy to use. We order the gallon size and it gives you a small sprayer that you hook up to your garden hose. It stifles the smell.
I am using this on a large section of astro turf that my three medium dogs use as their bathroom. I used a spray bottle/hose contraption available at Walmart, Home Depot, or Amazon. I can get by with one spray bottle full of enzyme, but usually use two.
The enzyme works for several days.
I also used it when I spilled milk on my truck carpet and it soured. I poured it straight on and used a bristle brush. To my surprise, it eventually removed the smell. The result was a truck that smelled like a cheap motel room after a cleaning. It was an epiphany.
I have two husky pups, and the smell of them having accidents on my carpets or concrete basement was driving me crazy. I was using diluted bleach, vinegar, and citrus. Nothing helped. I treated my industrial mop with it and it neutralized the smell right away. I also use it in a water bottle and spray the solution on my carpet. It works great and smells very nice. I even use it in my laundry load to wash the pups towels.
This product works better then some of the more expensive comparable products, but like the others it doesn't completely get rid of the smell once the Arizona sun heats up the treated area. The scent is not unpleasant and doesn't linger once sprayed but I would rather it smell like grass like one of the others I tried. I would purchase again and have recommended it as well.
My two little dogs have started peeing on potted plants on the flagstone patio as they have gotten older. I wanted something natural to get rid of the odor so I tried this. It smells good, but it did not work when used as directed (mixed with water). I had to use it full strength Repeatedly and finally it has helped reduce or eliminate the odor most places. Some areas will just take more applications.
We kept refilling our spray bottle and it works great!! We do not have any grass in our yard way so my dog uses the concrete and in the summer the smell was bad. After using this stuff one time the smell was basically gone. We continued to use it on a weekly basis and it was great!!
Works so well and noticed a huge difference in the smell after just 1 use. Now we use it twice a week, sometimes just once. There is no more odor on our dirt and rocks where the dogs go to the bathroom. We had 4 dogs at one point and this vanished the smell!
My 2 100+ lb. dogs urinate a lot on our artificial turf and I need to use this product every 2 weeks unless it rains a lot which is not too often where we live. This product helps eliminate the offensive urine odor and is easy to use.
