The sizing is definitely bulkier than the name brand ones we normally get. The plastic isn't nearly as sturdy either. The tips wear away much quicker, which irritates my cat since the catches on the carpets and blankets. Definitely not using more tips from this brand. That being said, they came quickly, adhere very well and are idiot proof. I think my cat is just used to the slimmer and more durable brand name ones.
I love the look of these on my cats nails, she looks great and very graceful lol. I have a few complaints about the product though. The glue stings like fire. I can only imagine how it feels on her sensitive nails. I got some on my finger and it seemed to have burnt or crusted my skin. Plus my cat hated putting them on. She is constantly licking her paws wondering whats stuck on them. Im happy with the looks but uncomfiterble with the way my cat is acting to them. In-between writing this I found her viscously licking her paws. Im sorry but I'm unhappy with this product.
I was so excited for these when my friend told me about them however they did not work like I had hoped. We got the XS but they were still way too big for our 3 month old kitten. She hated them and basically chewed them off of her paws one at a time over a period of 2 weeks. She wasn't able to retract her claws with them on so they stuck out and seemed uncomfortable for her when she walked. I don't know if I put them on wrong,
These caps are huge. No way they’re intended for kittens and young cats. And mine hated them. The only reason I ordered them in the first place is because the kept trying to climb the curtains and were falling and I worried about them hurting themselves. But you have to use a ton of glue just to get the caps to stick. Then they chew them off, and at that point I was more worried about them accidentally swallowing the caps than falling from the curtains. Plus a little glue leaked out onto their toe and fur and it seemed to cause them discomfort. No way to reseal the glue after the first use, and some of the caps were noticeably larger than others. Will not buy again.
I'll hold on to these for use as kitty grows. But the sizing is WAY off xs says 1-5.5 lbs. My kitty is 12 weeks and nearly 3 lbs and they were WAY too large for him, they just fell off. They may work well as he grows, but the sizing is way off and if I try cutting them down I still think they will be too large around ways vs just lengh ways. I now have to try to find some that will fit.
My two Cats absolutely Hate, yes HATE these! One of my Cats I was only able to get two on Him and he worked for Hours until he finally got them off! My other Cat I was able to get one Paw done and He was so Mad & Upset that He Hid Under the Bed for two Days! He did NOT Eat, Drink or go to the Litter Box for those two Days! My Husband had to get Him out and we got them off of Him! Everything went back to Normal (glad he didn't hold a Grudge lol)! They are not worth the Trouble for us! I want Happy Cats, who makes us Happy & Smiling with their Antics, NOT Miserable ones! For us these are Awful! I heard the Glue Burned them when it was used so I Trimed my Nails and put the Glue on a Couple of them and it did NOT cause Me any Pain! So I don't know if it is different with the Animals or not!
I used a calming cream and a mesh grooming bag to be able to put these on. It took a while, but I was happy with the result, until they started coming off that same day. I replaced the ones that fell off, but then they kept falling off so I gave up. More than half stayed on and I’m going to wait it out to see if they still need them before applying more. I thought maybe I needed more glue, but too much glue means they stick to the fur. I think maybe my kittens’ claws are just too small for proper adhesion, even though I ordered XS.
We put these on our cats and all seemed fine. They seemed comfortable. But them the horror. The superglue they come with sticks to the fur when they RIP them off. One of my cats actually lost her claw with it. Not worth it.
So i got the size small, my cat is almost a year old but he's small, so i got small.
Not only did they not fit, the instructions are iffy, and only 4 applicators.
Im trying again with the x-small because my cat needs his back nails protected, if things change with the next order i'll update. but sizes run small, and be prepared to waste a good 2 or 3 SETS before you get the hang of it.
My kitten did not like them. She wanted them off. Eventually she learned to ignore them though. But when the time came to remove them the glue was so adhesive the cap wouldn’t come off. And the glue is a one use thing, so if you open for 1 nail that’s all the usage you get from it. Standard nail clippers don’t open enough to cut the tips off. Bad idea. Highly recommend catnip and cat deterrent as a better alternative.
