I was so nervous giving these to my dog because she does not get bone type treats and I was afraid she wouldn't be able to eat them or would choke or something. I'm so glad I got them. She absolutely loves them and she chews them up just fine. I'm really careful with everything I give her because she has allergies and these are just tendons of a kangaroo. About as natural as you can get.
I only give them as special treats and make her do certain things before getting it. That's because the first time she got a little snippy when I tried to move it. She has never done that. I also gave one to my brother and he said his dog also was very protective of it. So be careful of that. Other than that, she's done well with them the last few months and not had any stomach issues or anything.
One other thing, if you see a exp date on the actual bag that doesn't seem right, the item comes from Australia and their dating format is different. Like nov 1st here is 11/01, but there its 01/11. I figured that out by contacting the company after I thought mine was expiring soon.
Bought the big bag. It is a little expensive but consider how much you are paying per tendon. It comes out to be cheaper than your local pet store. Our Golden angel has allergies so we must be careful about what we give her. Used to buy thick elk tendons but no longer able to find anywhere! These are not very long lasting like a super thick bully stick but they do take a 65pounder a little while to pull them apart. Good for teeth also. They vary in size. Some are big and some are smaller so we can alternate what we give her.
My dogs love these. They are pretty big chews. I can not break them into smaller parts bc they are tendions and hard to break. You get quite a few in the bag and bc they are so big it’s take awhile for my dogs to finish them.
