I was excited to try this mesh from Framar after all the positive reviews on here and recommendations from multiple professional hairdressers. I admit there’s nothing wrong with the product itself but it didn’t work that well for me personally. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have long hair that you plan on coloring or highlighting yourself. I felt that it was difficult to avoid movement of mesh sheets as I was working my way from the bottom to the top of my head. I had to constantly go back and readjust the sheets as they kept shifting. I see that it wouldn’t be an issue if I was getting my hair done by someone else. I also have dark hair and I think foil works better for achieving maximum lift. My hair ended up patchy even with proper saturation with bleach. I also felt that a little bit of color was bleeding through when I layered my highlights and lowlights, even with using with cotton coil in between the sheets. I may try using the mesh again just for highlights and see if turns out better next time.
I received some samples at last year's Hair Show and tried them out recently when doing a balayage with Clay lightener. These are so much easier to apply and remove than foil or Saran wrap. The fact that you can easily wash them out in the sink, dry them, and reuse them, is my favorite part! I highly recommend these two any hair stylist or cosmetologist! They are simple, effective and all around awesome.
I love my Framar mesh sheets! I like being able to watch my clients hair lift with out disturbing foils and when doing multiple colors I don’t have to stop and peak because I can see through them! They are also reusable so I’m sure our environment thanks me! They grip well too!
I love the mesh! Every stylist needs these. They’re great for blonding, and mermaid hair! No blending and they slide out of the hair way easier than foils; they’re also reusable! I just rinse and wipe with a towel to remove all product on them and let them dry. Buy two boxes because then you should hopefully always have a dry batch! Seriously!!! Try these.
My hair is dark purple and I dye it every two weeks to maintain it. These are so helpful and have made the process much more convenient. They're much easier on my hair than foil. I only use the same 10 sheets and rinse them out, but the box has many more, so this will pay for itself soon.
Absolutely love this product!!! I use it for foiling, bayalage, multi coloring, and color corrections!! I even wash them on delicate in the wash machine this weekend! I will never use foil on a head again!
I used this, first ,when I bleached my hair. The paper stays firm on the hair and you can easily check the process. Then I used it with color (balayage) and the sheets did not adhere to the hair as much, and a lot of them fell.
Removing the product and drying the sheets can be tedious and time consuming.
Im not a professional so I used them for personal use. I guess if you are a professional hairstylist, it can save you a lot of money, and is environmental friendly; taking into consideration that you will use this on a daily basis.
For personal use I would prefer working with regular foils.
