Works really well, it’s just tricky to get on correctly without bubbles. The instructions didn’t help much as bubbles still appeared so I had to work out a method on my own. After a few tries I managed to get all the bubbles out by starting from the bottom up and using the card as I went. It works really well and I am satisfied with a good quality product I just wish it were easier to put on without bubbles! They also have 2 in a pack so there’s a spare in case you need another one, which is an added bonus
I purchased it for anti-glare and it did solve that problem on a Toshiba Satellite laptop with a 15.4 inch screen. However, I had to go with a 17.3-inch and cut it down to get one that would fit the dimensions of the screen. I did follow the instructions but there’s a fair share of “bubbles” that are actually little pieces of dust between the protector and the screen. I pulled it off a few times and used some tape and though I did get some areas to improve I just ended up with the same issue in other areas. As someone else stated, I would recommend making sure the screen is flat and then going side to side rather than having it open and going bottom to top. I didn’t do that and my problem started with the protector sliding behind the bottom bezel so I ended up with a small gap at the top. I consider the first sheet application as part of my earning curve and when I install the second one someday and the experience is better I’ll upgrade the rating. For now, I’m disappointed in the look but more than happy with the elimination of glare on the LCD screen. I sit across the room from my wife who uses the laptop and I can see every little imperfection because of the angle of view. She can’t see most of the issues so it may be some time before I try putting on the second protector. I will also make sure next time that I have a totally black screen and with a few cats in the household not having anything floating around in the air is hard to eliminate but that little sticky they include is pretty much useless so I went with masking tape and that worked well but if it isn’t perfect on the first attempt it just seems to be more problematic each time it’s pulled off and a reapplication is attempted. The screen is 13” x 8-1/4” so I had to cut it in both directions and that was easy but I had one edge that had some small burrs so it wouldn’t lay flat. I can’t attest to it doing anything more than anti-glare but the glare was a real problem. When you have an old laptop with an odd size screen it really limits the available options.
The quality of the product is good and they provide the tools for solid application, but I wouldn't say it's easy. The stickers on the film aren't clear as to which side applies to the computer screen, so I had to touch the corner to see which side was "Sticky" and this creates a smudge, leading to a bubble. These films are never easy to apply and bubbles seem inevitable. Because of that, my first application became "experimental" and I had to toss it out and apply the 2nd one. (good thing there's 2!) My best advice for application: align the side first, avoiding adhesion until you are sure it's evenly lined up. Once you start to adhere the side, pull off the film SLOWLY with one hand, while you use the card with the other hand to push out any bubbles and apply the film stick. Application took about 5-10 mins because this was the best way to avoid all bubbles and have a clean application. Other than that, it's a good product. I had a 17.3" screen and it fit perfectly. If you have anything smaller, you'd have to cut the film before application, so I'm not sure I'd recommend for smaller screens in case you don't have the proper tools to cut the film accurately.
First of all, in case the words "Made in China" on the back of the packaging left any doubt, the copy on the packaging and in the instructions were obviously written by someone for whom English is a second language at best. For example, one of the selling points listed on the front of the packaging reads: "Water-oil repellcy [sic]." Then there are the directions ... "Step 1. Thoroughly clean the screen area to make it is completely dry." The word "sure" should be between the words "make" and "it." "Step 3. Peel off Tab1 film and align carefully starting from the bottom and work you way to the top." That should be "your," not "you," and there should be a comma after "carefully." "Step 5. Peel off Tab2 film when finish applying." That should be "finished," not "finish." OK, enough bad-grammar ranting. On to the actual product application. The package includes two screen protectors, just in case something goes awry on the first attempt. And for me, go awry it did. On my first attempt, I peeled away the Tab1 film and noticed that the hole near the top of the screen protector (which is there to accommodate your webcam) still had the "donut hole" inside the cutline and had not been "popped out" at the factory. Just as I peeled away the film, the "donut hole" popped out and affixed itself to the sticky side of the screen protector I had just exposed. I tried scraping it off using the application card, but not only did the "donut hole" remain stuck to the screen protector, but I scratched the screen protector in the attempt. AARGH! I threw the now-ruined screen protector in the trash and moved on to my second attempt. I applied the second screen protector to my MacBook screen and tried using the application card to gently squeeze out the bubbles, to no avail. Then I removed the Tab2 film and saw that there were even MORE bubbles than were visible before removing said film. I tried removing THOSE using the application card, to no avail. Fortunately, said bubbles are not visible when I "wake up" my MacBook Air, but they are very visible when it's asleep. And finally, the package includes guide stickers along with the dust-absorber sticker. However, the instructions NEVER mention the guide stickers or explain what they're for or how to use them. So in summary: If you're an old hand at applying screen protectors to phones, tablets, and laptop screens and are able to read between the lines and get the general gist of instructions written in poor English, you'll likely have no problems applying this protector to your screen. But if you're a very literal-minded person like me who struggles with poorly written instructions, then this product is probably not for you.
The main purpose of this product is for blue light shield. Indont think it works at all. I have another shield for my phone and you can see that the blue tint is being shielded. For the laptop it isnt. I am not noticing a change in my headache or tired eyes like i do with my phone. Also this shield sticks to the laptop. Ive seen products where you slide it in so you dont get the bubbles. I cant get the bubbles off my screen no matter how many times i try.
I did the test they describe, I’ve purchased other anti blue lenses that come with a testing kit and performed the test that this product describes, it is NOT anti -blue light, it will not protect you from blue light
It was shit to put on, endless bubbles and pockets, and warping, I smoothed out as many bubbles as I could but the edges are bent with little bubbles everywhere because it goes in warped
Since this was a two-pack, I used one for my personal laptop (2020 13” MacBook Pro) and one for my work laptop (15” HP). Before the pandemic, I was working from an office with a not so bright monitor. Since the pandemic, I have worked mostly from home with a very bright laptop. When charging my work laptop, the screen gets even brighter. But this screen protector reduces the brightness dramatically. I have used this for one week so far, and my eyes are thanking me after each eight hour work day spent in front of a screen. I wish I had bought this months ago because this would have saved me months of eye strain.
The anti glare/blue light screen protector is decent overall. Glare is significantly reduced as advertised. I can’t tell for sure if the blue light is reduced or not but I imagine it is based on how prominent the shielding is. Installation was a bit tricky and took me a few tries. The instructions said to begin from the bottom of the display but I found it easier to start from the top of the display.
I have to knock a star off for the filter that covers the webcam. It completely renders the webcam useless. The cover for it makes the webcam image completely blurry. Personally, I don’t use my laptop webcam much at all so this doesn’t bother me. But if you do, I’d recommend popping the cover off before installing the screen protector.
Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. Another bonus is that this pack comes with 2 screen protectors just in case the first one breaks or something.
I purchased this product for my 8 yr old’s school chromebook and personal chromebook. I bought him the blue light glasses but he doesn’t keep them on so this was the next best thing. It was easy to install and I was able to smooth out any bubbles that formed. The protective screen does not take away from the brightness or clarity of the screen. It was a great price for the 2 screens included!
This was the simplest installation ever. I LOVE that it comes with a padded card to smooth out air bubbles (vs the standard use any credit card). So much kinder to the screen. Honestly, this practically installed itself. I cleaned with the great cloth provided, lifted out duct with provided sticker, and pulled off both films, lined up at bottom and just let it go toward top and barely had any bubbles at all to clear. 2x Both computers. This took just a few minutes each.
Once installed, the stress on my face reduced almost immediately. Relief.
LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! Remarkable quality and ease. LOVE!!!!
