The price for this guacamole keeper is good at around $12. It's very large and 3 avocados doesn't even fill it halfway. It would be nice to have a smaller size. It's easy to use and works well if you know how to seal it properly. In order to push all the air out as the lid contacts the guac, you have to rock the lid a bit and you'll hear the air coming out. Then you can adjust it so it sits flat. It takes a bit of practice. One of the other available products has a little "vent" that allows the air to escape which is a good idea.
This works really well. The only trick that I have noticed is that you need to make sure the top of your guacamole is smooth before you put the lid on. Any air pockets that are left in the container will allow that guacamole to turn a little brown. That being said, a quick stir and that tiny amount of brown doesn't really matter. I've had guacamole in the refrigerator for 4 days and it's still very good! Very happy I bought it!
This container would be better with a narrower case. As a result of a wider case, you need to have lots of avocado or guacamole. Does an excellent job for a full bowl of guacamole or just avocado. It seals it with no air touching the product.
This was much larger than I expected it to be. I thought it would be a handy way to store a couple of cups of guac. This is so big it's hard to imagine using even for a party. I'm sure it works fine, but it will take up a LOT of space in your frig. Just FYI.
This container seems to be made for a 6-8 avocado sized batch of guacamole. If you were making a smaller batch for Your family or a party with few couples, the guacamole would hardly fill the container a half-inch. Wish there was a smaller version of this for small batches or leftovers.
I knew it was larger than I wanted, but it was A LOT larger! I don't even start off with enough guacamole to put in it, let alone what I have for leftovers. Never used it but it seems like a great quality and the concept seems like it will work to keep it fresh. The lid sealed well and moved well. Now if only they'd make one about a 1/4 or 1/3 of the size!
Looking for solution to reduce use of plastic wrap to seal surface of guacamole dip to reduce browning. Container a bit large for my purpose as the amount I made using two avocados only filled the container about 1/3 at most, requiring the lid to be pushed quite a way down into the container to get an all around seal, not as easy as it sounds. This sealing method helped to reduce browning, but imperfectly depending on how well you get the lid down to seal the surface of the guacamole.
